LiquaGenYearly Replacement RO/DI Water Filter Kit for 4 Stage Portable Space Saver Series (Inline Sediment, Inline Delotus Carbon, Inline DI) for Reverse Osmosis/Aquarium Reef Processes

Great little RO/DI unit. I got this with my first salt water aquarium and it if very true what they say about water quality when using RO/DI water. Many people say you can just go to your local Salt water fish store and buy water for $.50 a gallon but when you have to do water changes every two weeks it is not likely that you will stick to it if you have to keep going to the store. So I bought this units for pretty cheap and used it in my basement. I have a 40 gallon water bin that I put water into for storage and a TDS meter to make sure it is still working properly. 12 months later I had to buy these Replacement pieces. I have a 75 gallon tank I was able to fill the first time. Then I did water changes of 15 gallons every two weeks for 12 months. That’s nearly 500 gallons out of these cartridges. Plenty for a 75 gallon tank and a great unit for anything smaller.October 2 2020 update: OK, so I’m a little upset. I had the original unit for a year and it worked great. TDS started moving up to 4-5 so I figured it was time to replace. Once I bought these replacement units, right away the TDS was at 0. After less than a month and only about 60-80 gallons, my TDS was over 80. It created up really fast. I also noticed the carbon going from the blackish blue color it was to the light brown very fast. I contacted support through Amazon and they replied pretty quick asking me to send a photo and then call. So I did a day or two later. I got a voicemail and nothing for weeks. I went ahead and ordered a new unit so that I could do my regular water changes. The new unit came pretty quickly but within a couple weeks I was running into the exact same issue where I noticed the coloring turning light brown very quickly and my TDS was going back up. I again contacted support through Amazon and they replied asking me to test TDS from stage three. My TDS directly from stage III was about 20 points higher at 80, than the TDS after the DI at 60 or so. This was readings from the second replacement unit that I bought thinking that maybe I just had a bad first replacement.I have still yet to hear back from LiquaGen support. It’s been several weeks to a month.Their original product started out great and it was a great value but these replacement units seem to have an issue I’m not sure if anyone else is experiencing this, and even if it’s some thing that I’m doing wrong I have yet to hear back from support.10/3/2020: OK so I’m doing another update. So I believe the issue was with my stage III, which liquigen says needs to be replaced every 24 months. In my case, needed to be replaced after 12 months with the other three units. So when your RO unit becomes exhausted, this is what causes your DI unit to become exhausted so fast which was the issue I was running into. If you use this unit and you run into this, then their three pack replacement won’t be enough, you will need the 4th unit as well. I upped the stars to 4. Unfortunately I did not get this info from liquigen. I have still yet to hear back from them.

Replacing 4 stage filters after a few years. Only use it to get water for my fishtanks about once every week or two to get maybe 20 gallons of water. These lasted me a long time. Easy to pop in and out if you just follow the flow of the water on the tubes.

Great product easy to retro fit into my sink for easy use. I use this system for my 180 gallon saltwater reef tank top offs. So far i have been using about 1 year and have been happy with the quality and my corals and fish seem to be also. All around great product for the money....

Shipping time was awsome! It arrived a full week ahead of when it said it was suppoosed to be delivered. It makes perfect water for my saltwater fish tank.
