Continuing to learn
I just finished a course using Aleph Isn’t Tough, and this will be a great help in continuing to learn.

Good learning strategy
I like the way the book is formatted for learning. I’m using it with a peer led group and it’s very approachable. I still remember some letters from Hebrew school years ago.

Great program
This is an interactive, self-guided program that enables the user to apply skills learned in Aleph Isn't Tough and advance to a new level. Familiar prayers are used to teach grammar and vocabulary. The roots for key words are provided, facilitating understanding and vocabulary growth. Sidebars that provide historical information and explanations about key words, the development of the language, and prayer practices are interesting and enlightening. Although the lessons are easy to follow and understand, the approach is geared to adults. Questions and activities that are interspersed throughout the lessons allow the user to practice new skills learned. I would recommend this book for use individually or in a classroom setting.

Flawed.
Bought this for my Hebrew class. The book is flawed despite all the research and collaboration. My teacher and the class confine to be frustrated and find flaws in this series of publications.

Excellent book. Each chapter incorporates a review of previous words and letters learned.Use this book with an online method so you can hear correct pronunciation, and you'll be well on your way to knowing the letters. My only beef with books like this is that they ask you to read letter combinations, yet there's no way to check you are doing it correctly. Thank goodness I was introduced to an online source that allows me to sound out a word or letter combination and then check my accuracy by clicking on the word to hear it spoken.

Good for beginners who can already read
Great beginners book. Even better if you have been practicing reading already and want to start learning the words.

Really Useful and Interesting Book
I'm thoroughly enjoying this book. Although I can already read Hebrew and have some familiarity with the siddur, torah etc. I'm still learning new things from it. I especially like how she presents root words; words that related words are derived from, both in Biblical Hebrew as well as modern Hebrew.
