Great tool for the job well done.
Worked amazing well took 30 secs to remove a lock ring on a ram ProMaster 2500. We worked on that ring for 3 hours trying to get it off screwdriver was only cutting into the ring barely budge it. But this tool super easy and super fast. Great price and it was thicker than the picture shows. Seems very tough.

Definitely a time saver. Well made.
Great product. Used this tool to remove the lock ring for the fuel pump on my 2017 Challenger. very sturdy! If you have to change a fuel pump on a Challenger (primary or secondary) definitely get this tool, it will save you a lot of grief. I had the lock ring off in less than a minute!

Definitely needed it.
I've been working on cars since I was old enough to walk and I finally had to have this tool. Usually I can pop the locking ring out and in with a screwdriver but I found one that was not moving. Even with this tool I had to use a cheater bar. The tool held up great! When the ring broke loose, I thought I had ripped off the top of the fuel tank. Then upon reinstalling it, I thought I broke the tabs off. Nope, this thing worked perfectly! No damage to the locking ring or to the tool.

Makes removing the lock ring much easier
Gave this 4 stars only because I had to use a rubber mallet to get the socket wrench to start turning the lock ring. Fits the lock ring on a 26 gallon 2016 Ram 1500 fuel tank. Made removing the ring take about half the time as it does with trying to use a screw driver. It took about half the time to put the ring back on after replacing the fuel pump.

Must have on Avalanche
I've been wrenching for over 50 years & this was a MUST have tool for my 2005 Avalanche fuel pump replacement.I've install MANY electric fuel pumps but this one was a real headache & I suspect almost impossible to do without this tool. Granted you "might" get the ring re-installed without it but you're taking a BIG risk of damaging the plastic tank by using a hammer & punch to apply this much force !Take note that a lot of Chevy, Dodge & Ford lock rings have V shaped ramp-up style tabs to help start the installation of the ring, this type can be removed & installed with a hammer & punch without a lot of force, however, the one on my Avalanche does NOT have that V ramp style. The ring on mine had to pressed downwards & "firmly with a lot of force" while turning the ring tool with a large 1/2" drive pullhandle & a cheater pipe to even make it turn & bottom out against the spring steel bumps locking tabs. YES ... you can remove the lock ring with a punch & hammer but in my case this tool was the only way to re-install the lock ring without fear of destroying the plastic tank. This is a well made tool & worth every penny & piece of mind!

Proper Collar placement with Tool
The media could not be loaded. Has my doubts about this tool but after receiving and inspecting it, I was pretty confident it will work. The fit was good but limited due to location and access of my fuel tank. Got it on and like others I had to use a “cheater bar” to secure it in place. But it took less effort than I thought it would. Made these videos because I was unsure if the ring collar was placed properly but proper placement was very audible and a lot safer than compared to doing it with a hammer and screwdriver! Added the better video of my installations. This was the “clean side” or the transfer pump side (passenger side). But both sides are the same as far as removing and installing.
