Small 4 Liter Portable Sand Tray with Lid, Blue

I thought this was over-priced at first but was desperate for a medium sized sand tray....well it has lasted and done so well that I bought another so I could have different types of sand in each. Worth the money.

I’ll be honest in saying I didn’t read the description well and I was expecting a much bigger bin. It actually worked out because I was donating to my daughters SPED classroom and the teachers loved the size for storage space!

Bought this portable sand tray for my kids kinetic sand and utensils. It is serving its purpose well! All 4 lbs fits just right with room to play and stash the play utensils that go with. I love that it has a lid and is small enough to fit in the small cabinet it all lives in. Other than getting my kids to keep the kinetic sand in the tray (Not the manufactures fault) it is for sure standing up to the abuse, called children, so far. I would recommend to anyone looking for a small container like this. Beside loving the container itself, it showed up sooner than expected; which is a ver big plus in my book. I tend to track what I have ordered obsessively only because I have ordered things online and have them never show up. So I was super happy when it showed early. 🙂

I like to use these for my toddler’s kinetic sand. It is a bit smaller in width and length than I’d prefer, but the height is perfect for storing under a sofa, coffee table, or tv stand. The plastic is thick and durable, and the top is semi transparent, allowing you to peek at what’s inside. The silver handles have held up well and help to make the lid lock in place when storing. If this were a bit larger, I’d rate it perfectly.

I purchased one last year for my grandsons to play and store kinetic sand they are 3 and 6 . It was large enough for ten pounds but we only put 8 in had one on hand . They could play together but not a lot of room for individual imagination so I purchased another this year along with alot more kinetic sand now they each have one?

This is not a “ therapy sand tray” I guess more people will buy it if you word it as such.This box/tray/container does not stay closed. One of the handles fell off on the first use and there is a small crack in the lid. I noticed it after I put sand in it. I’m returning this!For the price I thought it would be better made, and larger.Do your measurements before you purchase!!! I would not recommend this for sand! Not much room to play at all. I added 3 lbs of kinetic sand and it left no room for the molds or scuppers. This box would be good for coloring books, crayons and such.

I have seen many reviews regarding the size not being what is expected so it’s important to know measurements for what you prefer. This is more of a lap size tray. It is the perfect size for what I need, but it does not snap securely. The gray side latches unlatch very easily and then the plastic lid falls off. I feel the picture that is on the site makes it look like the gray latches are a handle that you could use to help move it, but they slide off easily. It is sturdy, easy to clean and very well-made in that sense but I think it would be safer to put a very large rubber band around it to make sure the lid stays on as you move it unless you can always carry it with both hands to make sure it stays closed . I can now understand why one review who had it in her car said that the sand spilled out of it. It was most likely because the lid doesn’t stay securely and wouldn’t take much for it to come off unless you’re using both hands. So mixed reviews for me. I will be keeping it, but feel that the lid and latches should have a firmer grip to them to make it even bette, if that were the case, it would be perfect. I use mine for kinetic sand, so it doesn’t spill per se but century sand could really be an unhappy surprise if the lid comes off

I bought this for my nephew to contain his magic sand. He loves playing with the magic sand but he was losing bits of it every time he played with it. Now he stores it and can play with it right in the tray. It also can store all of the little sand molds so nothing gets lost for his day at the"beach". Easy to store and carry around. Holds his 10 lbs of magic sand easily. Plenty of room to still play with the sand inside the tray.
