I needed to get more shopping bags and saw these, I bought the red set.The red is a bright red.These bags appear well made with overstitching where the handles are attached , and overlooked seams , and there is no bottom seam, the bag I think was made by folding a piece of the fabric in half and sewing the seams and the top hem and then the handles, so with no seam on the bottom it can't give way if you put something heavy in it, so expect them to be long lasting.I bought the small sized bags in red, you can easily fit a standard packaged square loaf inside.The handles are double thickness, well seamed and a good length for carrying, not designed to go over your shoulder, which I prefer, being short and usually carrying the shopping I find the longer handled bags reach the floor, so these are a great length for carrying and thick enough to be comfortable too.The size given is the flat size, that is to say there is no depth, so say you pop a melon inside the bad gets narrower because the melon is 3D.I am only mentioning this in case someone is looking to put a box inside, and only going off the width measurements.Overall very pleased, will be keeping an eye out for other colour options if they come up, I would like some in indigo blue or deep purple if they decide to make those colours I will be back to buy more.

I bought these to use for shopping and also to store some things together.I bought the largest size, as most useful (even they aren't that big - I recommend that you measure out the size you want to buy, ensuring that the bags will be big enough for you)These bags fold up nice and small and are ideal to put in your pocket before going shopping.They have lovely long straps, which give you options on how to carry them.If you plan on using some to store things, the long straps tie the top closed; handy to stop items falling out.I haven't used them for heavy items (I use those large polypropylene bags from supermarkets for that), so I can't say how sturdy they'd be if you loaded them up with tins or bags of flour.They have been excellent for lighter items.No straps have been broken (as yet).I've previously bought the beige bags for my friend's two adorable daughters to decorate. If you use fabric pens, you can achieve some lovely results, which can be kept or gifted (check my beige bags/fabric pens reviews for her kids' artistic efforts)I haven't tried metallic pens on these black bags, but I suspect that if you used decent permanent metallic pens, they could look amazing.Equally, at some point in the future, I may consider embroidery to decorate one or two.Should my friend's crafty daughters or myself experiment with decorating these black bags, I will update the review and post photos.I recommend these bags. I've bought them in beige, red and black. At some point soon, I'll buy the blue ones too.

I bought these to make into Christmas gift bags. The fabric is not too bad , good enough to embroider onto, and the size is great. Unfortunately they smell really musty. I’m hoping a day on the washing line will blew it off, as I don’t really want to have to wash them before I work on them, as I’m guessing they’ll need ironing and starching.

Good quality thick material. Good value for money. Haven’t washed them as of yet though.

Great bags to personalise and Great bags to design onto and personalise with fabric pens and acrylics paint & fabric medium

I ordered 2 x 10 bags. My daughter began personalising them before realising only half the amount of bags ordered arrived. Eventually after being asked to count the bags again (coz apparently we might have counted to 10 wrong the first time) they eventually sent the rest of the order.This times the bags that arrived were a different colour and much smaller. I sent the smaller ones back given we had already begun to personalise the larger bags. I ordered more bags in a larger size, being more careful with measurements.This time the bag that arrived was the same size as the first batch but still a different colour and of lesser quality! It is at this point I realise that they had completely messed up the first order, sending a completely different bag altogether.I now don’t have time to rectify as they are needed next weekend ,so now the personalised bags for my daughter’s hen do won’t match! Not the end of the world, unless you are me and get funny about those kind of things!If you are looking for good quality bags then the first batch were the best and can be found in the store, however they are more costly. If you don’t mind the thinner bags of lesser quality then they are worth the money and do the job.Just make sure you have the right ones before personalising them!
