Offset Flat End Grab Rail

Does the job I bought it for. Good price. Fast delivery, too.

The paint is chipped in several spots, but couldn't wait for a new one, because my 95-year old mom needed it now. It was well packed, so it must have been damaged when it was put in the box.

Needed a handle for my backdoor but as the exterior walls are rendered it needed to attach to the door frame and angle out enough to stop skin removal from knuckles when grabbed. It does the job perfectly as seen in the images, plenty of space without touching the harsh rendered surface.

Die Griffe habe ich an Türrahmen als Haltegriffe für meine gehbehinderte Mutter montiert. Viel kann man über Griffe sowieso nicht sagen: Sie sind zwar keine Designartikel, aber stabil, sicher, gut verarbeitet und preiswert. Schrauben muss man separat besorgen, ist aber je nach Anforderung auch besser.

This grab rail was perfect for attaching to the side of the front door frame and gave my parents, both in their 90s, something to grab as they went up and down a a high-ish step into the house. It works just as well leaving the house and keeps them steady as they lock the front door. The rail is sturdy, easy to screw on to the wood and looks unobtrusive. My parents are delighted with it.

This grabrail offered a perfect replacement for one at my mother’s bungalow that had become rusty over time. Being slightly offset it can be placed close to a door handle too, enabling her to hold on with one hand while using a key with the other. As a bonus, it fitted the same fixings as the original, but being offset gave a preferred outcome.
