Do the linkrunner at's support proxy with authentication? in my environment we need a user name and password to access the web through our proxy.

Yes it does, but with the latest firmware, which, by the way, is not free, you need to buy a premium support plan to get that.

Do Cisco branded SFP modules work in this device, or do I have to use the Fluke branded SFPs?

It will work with other brands of SFP - at work we use Fiberstore SFPs, Cisco branded SFPs & HP Enterprise branded SFPs. This device works fine with all of those- only thing you need to pay attention to is if your SFP is multimode or single mode. You ***MUST*** make sure you are using multimode with multimode and singlemode with singlemode and you'll be good. We don't have any FLUKE/ NetScout branded SFPs on property.

Will this unit display multiple vlans information on 801.1q trunk? Also will it display non-cisco port switch info.? thanks

I work for a big security company and use this on occasion for IP cameras. The times I've used it, I've never gotten information on switch port number, etc. Only duplex and that's it. Kind of a bummer.

Will this tester measure characteristic impedance?

Not that I'm aware of. If it does idk how to.
