Allows multiple items to be plugged int a European outlet
Needed when you need to power multiple devices that require European voltage to operate. Note that the amount of power the power strip can handle is fused to 10A and it can be used with grounded neutral or with ungrounded neutral based on the source being European power outlet or a transformer without a neutral connection.

Say Arrivederci to Uncharged Phones!
We bought a couple of Kriger Universal power strips 2 years ago to use at an apartment in Italy where electrical outlets are scarce and where we bring a number of US electronic devices (iPad, iPhones, Mac) which constantly need charging (as well as a US-compatible DVD player & European compatible Samsung tv). These strips are a godsend. As will be made clear to you later in this review, I am severely electronically challenged. If you are not, please skip down to the next review. As has been mentioned in many reviews, these strips are not converters (won't change the voltage entering your appliance or electronic device). They are simply adapters which allow you to plug in a compatible US device. This will work great for iPhones, iPads & most other smart phones (check Google to make sure yours are 110/220 compatible). However, this strip is not suitable for American hair dryers, flat/curling irons, etc. which cannot tolerate the higher European voltage. Yes, those devices can plug into this strip, but if you try to turn them on, you can literally set your hair on fire (don't ask me how I know). To avoid touring Europe sporting an unsightly tuft of orange-singed hair, consider buying yourself a European blower dryer here on Amazon and get it delivered to your home before your trip, if your European digs will lack such amenities. Just note that, although the blow dryer you receive will be able to accept European voltage, it may need a special adapter in order to work in the country you are visiting. (This is most certainly the case for Italy). Safe travels!

Looks great, but has some electrical issues
The power strip comes with a German plug (Type E+F plug). Living in Israel, I knew I'd need to replace the plug with an Israeli one (The live and neutral prongs are the same, but the ground is different).I cut off the moulded German plug, and before attaching the Israeli one, wanted to make sure I connect the wires correctly. The internal wires are brown, blue and yellow, as I'd expect, corresponding to live, neutral and earth, accordingly. I expected the brown to be live, blue -> neutral, and yellow -> ground.I was surprised to discover that the right-hand prong was connected to the blue wire, and the left -- to the brown. At the very least, the plug and the outlets are connected in the same manner, so unless you have any reason to cut open your wire, this should make no difference to you. But if you do cut it, to replace the plug, or any other reason - PLEASE CHECK WHICH COLOR WIRES LEADS WHERE!!!Do not assume the colors represent what they ought to. You may end up wiring your appliances backwards, and risking electrical shock. And on the note of electrical shock: this power strip comes with an on-off switch. I could not take apart the strip itself (it's closed with unusual Y shaped screw-heads), but all signs indicate that the power switch is connected to the brown wire. that is - to the neutral one. In other words, when you turn off the power strip, electricity is still flowing into the strip, past the switch, and into the six outlets. Please take caution with this power strip.

Simply, I love it !
Well constructed, from good plastic material, and doesn't look cheap at all.The three stars for traveling, is nothing against the product, as the product well worth it, I just think the amazon suggestion for this as an evaluation point is inappropriate, as this is home/ permanent use, not really convenient and I don't think it was meant for travel, although you really can 😊 , but its a long stip, to adequately have spaces between plugs for larger transformers etcI like surge protection indicator as well as the on/off switch that allows me to leave my chargers plugged in, but disconnect them from electricity to save power and for protection.Just wish the plug was not the large European F but the smaller C type, which works better in Egypt, but because I love the brand and the seller/ customer support base on other and prior interactions, I decided to buy this one and get a plug adaptor, despite presence of exactly what I am looking for, from other brands and sellers.I think the price is slightly higher than it should be, but considering all in all, I gladly paid for it and I would again in the future.Thank you

Outstanding power strip
This power strip is absolutely perfect for my use. I have this to use for my television and soundbar. We made sure to purchase dual voltage devices to use anywhere in the world, and this power strip is perfect. You can plug in just about any European plug, American plug or British plug to use in whichever country you choose. The plug for this is European, but adapters work like a charm to use anywhere in the world.Keep in mind this DOES NOT change the power. If you are in Europe, you will likely have 220-240VAC 50Hz. Make sure whatever you wish to plug in is safe for the input voltage. If you are in America you will have 120VAC 60Hz, again make sure your device is compatible. Additionally, some dual voltage devices are not automatic, there will be a switch to select the input voltage. This is critical since the wrong voltage will fry your devices almost instantly. Please check your product manual prior to using on a different voltage input. If you need something to turn 120VAC to 220-240VAC or 220-240VAC to 120VAC please look into a Transformer (this power strip is NOT a transformer). Although the power frequency will not change (i.e. 50Hz to 60Hz), it will not fry your device immediately. It may, however, shorten the lifespan of your device.
