Brooklyn Full Frame Reading Glasses + Milano Case

This is my second pair of ThinOptics glasses. These are very light and compact and the lens quality is excellent. I'm very happy with them and my wife has asked me to buy her a pair. A couple of things to note: 1) ThinOptics markets these as being able to be attached to the back of your smartphone. In reality, this isn't practical because the case is so big that it either exceeds the size of the smartphone or covers up the camera. These are really pocket or purse glasses. 2) The case is attractive and protects the glasses well. However, the case is a bit tricky to open because of the strong magnetic snap that keeps the case closed. I find myself fumbling around with it to get it open. As a result, they are not "fast" glasses that you can pop on your nose quickly. 3) While not uncomfortable, I would not use these these glasses for long periods as they are not the most comfortable reading glasses I have. They are great for shorter use periods.

These glasses are very thin and don't take up space. I can easily slide them into my pocket, I love the fact they don't hug the nose and they said nicely on the face without discomfort, perfect for reading.

For the size, weight and ultimate in portability... these glasses are awesome. Attached it to my phone case immediately. A little thin, without any kind of bridge... so not ideal for extended use... but menus and paperwork in the field, no problem.

Light, Compact,......but $50 ??

Terrible design in terms of sturdiness. They came flat, as advertised, but carefully unfolding the arms to try them on just once resulted in the arms bending just a tiny bit and enough to prevent the case from closing. Great idea, poorly executed.

I had bought the smaller version of these to fit on the back of my phone. But I did not like how they looked on me. I was hesitant to pay for these and not work out. I was very surprised! They look awesome, the case is great and it does stick out from the back of the phone but I like it. I use these glasses almost all the time I am reading or working on a computer, every one that sees them on me end up getting their own. I only noticed one issue with my Samsung note 9 that I can write on screen in some areas which I was able to debug as a result of the magnetic field from case. The problem only affects me when I take notes on the screen but does not affect manual inputs to touch screen. Highly recommend this product. I have had it for about a month and it is with me 24/7 glued to the back of the phone and comes to the rescue at work, restaurants and any where I need to read small fonts.

Nice, slim design. Pretty crazy to spend this much money on reading glasses, but I like being able to have them in my pocket. The last pair of these I had broke pretty easily but I get that being fragile comes with the territory because of how slim they are. The “frame” around the lenses is actually just black paint and it started coming off of my last pair and is now coming off of my replacement pair as well. I’d expect more from reading glasses at this price.

This is very light and sleek, can be easily carried. The only thing is that the hinge is stiff and I am scared the glasses will break. I hope it gets smooth with use.
