Urgent 2 prong- 3 prong socket retrofit, very tight in box.
__ Good __: I moved into a house with ungrounded 1940’s wiring and 2 pronged plugs. Provided code compliant 3 pronged plug upgrade with minor safety improvement. (See below) Consider this upgrade an urgent immediate mitigation to buy time for a final fix and evaluation with an electrician.__ Bad: older metal electrical boxes are smaller than modern boxes and these sockets are big. They barely fit. I covered contacts with electrical tape incase the sockets jostle around over the years and eventually touch the box.__ About code__: consider this a mitigation not a solution. Code prohibits swapping out 2 pronged sockets with ungrounded 3 pronged sockets. However, NEC code does allow for adding gfci plugs in ungrounded receptacles, and since there are no 2 pronged gfci plugs, code states you may install upgrade 2 pronged plugs to 3 pronged gfci plugs as long as you clearly paste on the stickers stating “plug is not grounded”__ price and risk __ : I was quoted $7k to run a bare grounding wire to 10 ungrounded receptacles. Vendor refused to run new Romex wiring and terminate old 1940’s knob and tube wiring, however, online quotes for this were between $25-50k. I understand the vendor’s hesitance. If you have old 2 prong plugs, your real problem isn’t the plugs. They hint at bigger hidden issues such as knob and tube layout, ancient wiring in the walls, over subscribed lines and fuses, and poorly plans main/ sub panels. The vendors may unwittingly disconnect parts of the house or garden, or be forced by code to redo your main panel. No matter what, I still recommended spending the $10 per receptacle to buy yourself time to sort this out with an electrician.

LED indicator is always on even if GFCI trips
3 stars because even though this GFCI appears to work as it should, the LED light indicator is always on to indicate that there's power going into the GFCI, and it remains ON even if you trip the GFCI. Should have read the description better because it mentions this as well as a couple of reviews. However, this is a big deal because you won't be able to know that the GFCI tripped and you would think that the appliance you plugged in went bad, other GFCI's turn OFF the LED or change the LED color to red or something to indicate the GFCI tripped, so minus 2 stars for not utilizing the LED light.I also bought these mainly because of the Red/Black buttons for Reset/Test, a lot of other GFCI's have both Reset/Test as white buttons and are very difficult to read with their etched text. Didn't think that he LED light would remain on at all times (thought it was standard for all GFCI that it would change color or turn off if it trips), that is a deal breaker so won't be buying these again.

Very Robust GFCI Outlets
I had to replace every GFCI outlet in my home, which were installed over 40 years ago and tested maybe 2 or 3 times in that time. Suffice it to say they all were not functional. These GFCI outlets are built like little tanks in my opinion. I popped out my GFCI outlets, which were very small due to a very poor quality GFCI and electrician who installed them, and these fit perfectly into my electrical housings, and wired up amazingly due to the unique connectors on the back, where you unscrew it and push the wire in straight, then screw it down. It saved me loads of time.I've tested the outlets several times, and they work just as expected. Just make sure you get the line and load wiring correct and you're good to go!(Also don't forget to wire the ground wire, obviously)

Pos. Don't buy.
Trash. Four of five don't work. Too late for a return.Update: simply trying to attach the wires straight in don't work. These are the first gfci outlets that I've experienced that does that. One of them has a screw set so close to the plastic, it took 1 1/2 hours to connect the wires. One of them the screw came out after struggling with trying to attach wires; I can't get the screw back in.These are the worst pieces of garbage I've ever purchased from Amazon or even eBay. I can't believe someone is selling these and have a conscience.

Don't buy these, 2 of 5 already failed in 4 months.
1st one was keep tripping and failed after 1 months of installation. I thought ok just of 5 failed, for some reason. And now after 4 months 2nd one failed. It is just too much hassle to trouble shoot and replace this.I will pay more and buy from hardware store. These are cheap piece of garbage, over all you will pay much more to trouble shoot and re-install higher quality item

1 dud out of 5.
good product, comes with everything needed. proper screws, good quality.did have one dud out of the box. which is unfortunate as i bought these 2 years ago to replace some outlets and kept the extras for later reno's.meh. for the price im still up in comparison to my local big box store.

Nice and cost effective but require a deep box
Have bought these more than once. They appear to be deeper than the mainstream competition so they were hard to fit into the older smaller outdoor electrical boxes at my cottage as replacements. They work well - have been using them for a couple of years. Only had one DOA.

confusing
The green LED is on when there is power to the back of the outlet. However the LED stays on even when the GFI is tripped. Very stupid.
