BlackButterfly Kids 'Audrey' Vintage Polka Dot 50's Girls Dress

I usually only write reviews about books and kind of forget the millions of other things I buy on Amazon. I have had mixed success buying clothes for my daughters from makers I have never heard of on Amazon. I am always careful now to only buy clothes that offer free returns. Because of that risk, I read the reviews of verified purchases very, very carefully. I decided I needed to return the favor and write a review about this completely fabulous dress.I bought the dress for polka dot day at my 7-year-old's school. I was not too worried about quality because worse case scenario, it only had to last one day. Turns out my low expectations were completely unfounded. This dress is beautiful and fits perfectly. My daughter loved it also and she is a bit picky about material. She will not wear anything that is not soft. She does not want her clothes to "poke" her in anyway. She twirled round and round the kitchen when she first put it on. It truly is lovely and the dress does twirl nicely. We bought the red and it is a vibrant cherry red not tomato red. Perfect! I bought her regular size and it fit just as expected. Sometimes I have had trouble with clothes I buy from Amazon running small. This was not the case. In all this is going to be a dress she wears over and over and not just on polka dot day!

the size is true to the age. My toddler choose it for the 1950 style day.The color doesn't fade and holds well. It twirls well too!

This dress was great as a Sally Brown costume for my daughter’s middle school play. Nice bright pink and substantial fabric. I ordered a size 13-14 for my 5’6”, 120 lb 14-year-old. We added a dickie collar.

So as far as the look of the dress, it came exactly as shown and was really cute. It seems pretty well-made in terms of durability. The only complaint I had was it was a little itchy. (So you might want to consider that if your going for comfort.) Otherwise it was great!

Love this dress my daughter had a school project 60s inspired and this dress was perfect excellent quality. I was worried about the sizes but it was on point fit her nicely! 100% recommend!
