From a cleanish boost, to a light OD, all the way to complete saturated fuzz. It sounds clear and natural, strong and bold. Your guitar sound isn't highjacked, and your amp's tone is not destroyed. The Pharaoh utilizes a dual tone control. The tone circuit is designed to suffer little volume loss, and give a natural sound. Your guitar and amp still sound like your guitar and amp. No drastic cuts or boosts.The tone section allows your amp to do the heavy lifting.Clipping can be altered with the typical FUZZ knob. Also with a hi/lo input switch, not unlike that of your favorite tube amp. Lo for more headroom,/less clipping. Hi for less headroom/more clipping. The bottom switch controls the second set of diodes. Diodes in for less volume/headroom and more clipping. Diodes out for more volume /headroom and less clipping. A third option, asymmetrical germanium clipping diodes is available as a custom order. These two switches can take the Pharaoh from a clean/ fat boost to light OD which cleans up well with your guitar's volume knob.All the way to a hairy open fuzz sound to a completely saturated gnarly fuzz. With the Germanium option, you'll get the ability to have smooth lively compressed fuzz.The Pharaoh utilizes signal caps large enough to pass all frequencies through, uncut. Again, a natural sound. Absolutely badass!
So you know all those awesome fuzz tones that you have in your head but can't replicate with a pedal? Well the Pharaoh is a pedal that reaches inside your skull and makes those tones a reality. This is the best fuzz box that I have come across in my 32 years of playing. Versatility and clarity are the pharoahs strongest attributes. This pedal really does set a new benchmark for quality in sound. This box sounds incredible no matter which way I turn the knobs and matched up flawlessly with the other effects on my board including stacking it with other overdrives. It has 3 different types of fuzzy goodness; germanium, no diode, and silicone, each with a low and high gain setting via toggle switches. The range of the bass and treble is wide and the midrange is compensated in both as you turn them from left to right. I kid you not, the tones you can get out of this stomp box are unparalleled. As a bonus, In my opinion this has to be one of the wickedest looking stompboxes I have seen in a long time. The artwork is clean and detailed, it lights up a bright green when engaged and just looks so damn cool on my board. Black Arts toneworks Pharaoh fuzz legitimately deserves a 5 star rating.

Amazing Chemistry
I had been doing some research online for sometime about a fuzz pedal to incorporate into my board. Being that I never owned a fuzz pedal, I decided to go with the Pharaoh. Originally wanting the white pedal, I opted to stick with the gold one. Right out of the box, I was impressed with how much better it looked in real life.I'm immediately blown away at the dynamic subtlety of this fuzz. The adjustable features of this box enables you to harness it's power SO well. I still have to get used to how much volume to give the pedal for certain parts in different songs, but it's such a thick, milky and dynamic tone. The sustain is also fantastic. The best part for me is how well it works with my other pedals (boss pitch/shifter delay, strymon timeline). It's been a while since I've been this excited to get home to spend time with my pedalboard. I've had this box for about a week thus far and it's all wow's from me. Haven't found a negative aspect of it, yet.

Never heard about this Fuzz until rescently and I am sold!!! This is a truly amazing piece of work! Why by a germanium or a sillicon fuzz when you can have both ? Thank you black arts!
