Finally, a Vegan Protein Powder That Tastes Great & Delivers!
As a woman who's tried various protein powders, I was excited to discover Free Soul's Vegan Protein Powder, specifically formulated with women in mind. And I can honestly say, this has become my new go-to!First off, let's talk about the Vanilla flavour. I've been wary of vanilla vegan proteins in the past, often finding them chalky or with an unpleasant aftertaste. Not this one! It's a smooth, genuinely delicious vanilla that blends beautifully into smoothies with plant milk (I love it with oat milk!). It's not overly sweet, which is a huge plus, making it versatile for different recipes.Beyond the taste, the benefits are clear. With 20g of protein per serving from pea and hemp isolate, it's a fantastic plant-based source for muscle recovery and daily nutrition. I also appreciate the added nutrients, which feel like a bonus for my overall well-being, especially knowing it's designed to support female hormonal balance and energy levels. The fact that it's gluten-free and soy-free is crucial for me, as I have sensitivities, and this powder has been incredibly easy on my digestion – no bloating or discomfort whatsoever. The 600g size is also convenient, offering a good number of servings. If you're a woman looking for a high-quality, delicious, and easy-to-digest vegan protein powder that genuinely supports your body, I wholeheartedly recommend Free Soul. It's a fantastic addition to my healthy lifestyle!

Taste & consistency is awful
This is one of the worst tasting vegan protein powders I've ever tried. It doesn't taste or smell like there is any vanilla flavouring in it. The consistency is much thicker than usual protein powders and consequently is very stodgy when making things like overnight oats. Used twice and had to throw away - very frustrating!

Yum
I don’t usually go for Vanilla flavours in milkshakes as they taste a bit sickly to me, but I figured it’d be a good base for blending with fruits etc. Super glad I tried this one.First of all, all other protein powders I’ve tried are lumpy or super grainy/sandy in texture no matter how much you mix it especially the vegan ones, but this one was silky smooth.I tried the recommended option on the package with dairy-free milk (oat), two tablespoons of the powder, and a generous dollop of peanut butter and some ice into my blender and wow wow wow. Subscribed straight after that. Excited to try blending with some frozen berries etc in future. Also can tell it’ll be lovely on its own if I’m in a rush. The vitamins especially folic acid is a great addition too as like many women I feel fatigued frequently throughout the ebbs and flows of my cycle.

Happy with product
I use this item for extra protein in my diet, it mixes well and tastes good. Easy to use.The only negative for me is that it’s very sweet, really too sweet for me so I use my kefir to mix as this helps balance the sweetness. Others may find the sweetness fine and I need to add that it’s no sweeter than other protein powders I’ve tried, so probably my taste rather than product.I chose vanilla and it smells/tastes like it says on the packet.I think it’s fair value for money and a good quality product, will buy again.

Best vegan powder I've tried
I have tried many different non dairy protein powders (I find whey powder irritates my stomach although I do think it tastes better and is cheaper) but this one is by far the best I've tried to date.A lot of the other branded powders I've bought have reviews writing that the powder is 'amazing' and to my disappointment it tastes absolutely revolting. Free Soul was my last attempt at finding a decent tasting vegan powder and this didn't fail. I appreciate that we all have different perceptions and preferences to taste, but if you found Sun Warrior, Earth Champ and PHD nutrition diet plan powders disgusting, then you're in good company because I also did but Free Soul tastes ok to me. It's not the best taste in the world, but it is far easier to disguise the taste of than the other mentioned brands (I tried all in vanilla, Phd also in salted caramel, yuck).I bought the vanilla variety and use it daily in my smoothies but even with soya milk it tastes good. It still has a slight chalky aftertaste but it's much milder in taste than others I've tried and when put in a blender can become very fine and hard to notice. It also blends well with a shaker. My only criticism is that I think it's a little expensive for the amount you get but I will definitely buy it again nonetheless because unlike other major brands I've tried, I don't feel like gagging or holding my breath when I drink this!

New recipe tastes gross, cancelling subscription after 3 years
I've been buying this product regularly for about 3 years. Despite it sometimes giving me break outs and being on the expensive side I stuck with it because it was really tasty and the matcha gave me a boost without being too much, as I'm also really sensitive to caffeine. The protein content was good and it tasted delicious. I'm really sad to say that after the recent recipe change I've cancelled my subscription. I think the addition of guarana makes me feel too wired and the taste is awful. I liked it before because it didn't have that artificial taste that a lot of protein powders has, but now it does and a really weird-after taste. I used to buy it alongside Bulk, now going fully over to them.

Questionable flavour…
I was really excited about trying this protein powder, as I’d heard so many good things about it. However, as I went to try it the first time, I was immediately overwhelmed by the bad vanilla flavour. I didn’t know it was possible to create bad tasting vanilla but this one just tastes synthetic, and I haven’t managed to hide the flavour when blending it into smoothies. However the more I have it, the more tolerable the flavour gets.Despite this, I do really like all of the added bonuses and perks that comes with having it, as I’ve been loving the ease of having additional vitamins and supplements included. Because of this, and the good amount of protein, I do feel like it’s good value for money - I’ll just try a different flavour next time
