Does the job. Easy to use. Not expensive good value.

Despite what it says in the instructions, you can in fact change the battery once it's flat. There are videos online demonstrating how to do this. As for its function, it seems to take temperature accurately and looks like it will last a long time.

Easy to use, and probably accurate, given that home thermometers cannot be calibrated.

The thermometer does produce a reading much more quickly than my old digital thermometer, and appears to be acceptably accurate when compared to my clinical mercury thermometer (which, however, takes up to then times as long to produce a steady reading). It is much more accurate than the cheap digital thermometer I bought before this one, which did beep after 10-20 seconds but it clearly had not achieved a steady temperature - if you kept it in your mouth for about a minute the reading had gone up by another degree. I think the beep on the cheap thermometers is just a timer, rather than being based on a a steady reading being achieved like this one.So in terms of functionality this thermometer is probably worth the money. HOWEVER a major downside IMO is that the battery does not appear to be user-replaceable. The manual does not include a procedure for replacing the battery, and implies that when the battery is flat you have to throw the thermometer away, which is appallingly wasteful. The exact words in the manual are: "The battery life is associated with the lifetime of the thermometer. For your safety the battery compartment lid is securely attached to the thermometer and cannot be removed without a standard tool."I am keeping mine, as I need a digital thermometer which gives an accurate reading quickly, but I will be very annoyed when the battery does run flat and I have to throw it away.

Easy to use and so far it is the most accurate digital thermometer I tried. I would reccomend it.

Unfortunately the temperature shown on this thermometer is unreliable. No matter how many times the temperature is measured, the temperature on the thermometer after the alarm is usually lower than the body temperature that I am aware of. It takes about 20 seconds for the alarm to sound, and this thermometer does not show the correct temperature measurement result in a short time of about 20 seconds. If the temperature measurement is continued after the alarm, the temperature measurement result further rises, and there is a difference of about 0, 50 ° C to 0, 90 ° C.
