does it come with battery charger?

Yes. A simple little charger that plugs directly into an outlet. I really like this sprayer, but have had leakage problems with the hand-held wand. Going to try the handle and wand/nozzle from a hand-pump Roundup sprayer.

Is battery removable for charging or does it charge while on unit? (Job takes 4-5 hrs, can't wait for recharging, will need 2nd battery.))

YEs, the battery charges while "ON THE UNIT". But, the batteries don't last long, as I've gone through several, even though I kept them plugged in. Then, removing the battery, which you WILL have to do when it fails (the batteries are crummy), will be a headache of massive proportions. And putting the unit back together will make you sorry you ever wasted your money. Finally, calling the company (even finding the correct number to call for support) will be aggravating. Despite the claims, a single charge will last about 40 minutes max, maybe spray 18 gallons of "stuff", and no manner of recharging the batteries in this rig will it fully recharge in "2Hrs".
