This is the 3rd rod I've bought in this range and I'm very impressed with them. The other 2 were lighter models and I bought this one for lure fishing for trout. Nice medium-fast action and gives plenty of feel during casting. Compares well to some more expensive rods I've owned. (Which to be fair would probably cope with a wider range of line size.) This casts a #8 (marked weight) nicely and I have used it - successfully- with a #7.Very nicely finished with quality touches such as section guide marks.

Rod was ok but on my opinion it feels a little bit flimsy I got the 9ft 8wt and when fighting tout around 5lb it felt like rod was ready to snap

Purchased two #8 9ft rods and tried them on a local trout lake this last weekend. These rods are absolutely superb and compare very favourably with much more expensive rods from the more well known manufacturers. I can’t fault the quality of the rod or the casting action and the carrying case is robust and very well made. I am delighted with this purchase.

Bought the rod for a back up, so pleased with it shall use it all the time
