Prevue Pet Products Patio Sundeck Small

For an occasional rest, my budgie enjoys the sundeck. The sundeck secures well onto the cage. The bar spacing of the platform is slightly on the larger end. Although the coating initially worried me, it has been well applied and shows its quality. Almost two years have passed since the purchase, and the sundeck remains good as new.

My parrotlet can use this cage shelf, but it is twice as wide as recommended for these tiny parrots. I'm using it, but really want quarter-inch distance between the bars. Larger birds will enjoy it.

Love this Sundeck! I wanted to purchase toys to fill up the large cage I purchased for my Cockatiels and Conures and luckily, I came across this Sundeck! What a fantastic idea, better than the wooden ones I have purchased over the years, they never last and are very hard to clean. The reviews also looked very promising and since they were positive, I decided to purchase 2 just to see how they look and how they would fit in the cage. Most of all, would my birds like this item and would they use it. They absolutely loved the ledges and really did sit on them. They really love to sleep on them the most. So, had to get a few more and now I own 7 of them. I purchased these ledges 6 months ago and they are still going strong! Best ledge I have purchased to date! I got them during a perfect timing as well, we had new Cockatiel babies that were just learning their way around the cage and this ledge was very helpful for them.My birds have a very large cage and there are many areas in the cage where the Sundecks have been perfect for them. I also placed 2 of them on the outside of the cage so they can hang out when they are out and about. They are super easy to install, no screws at all, just position them on the wires of the cage, hang it up and it is good to go. What I did to secure the sundecks was just add Two Zip-Ties, one on each side and I do not have to worry about them falling off in the middle of the night. Having Cockatiels that are still under the age of One, any movement at night gives them Night Frights and my Conure is notorious for knocking things down that are not bolted down! LOL! So, I just wanted to make that recommendation about the zip-ties in case the sundecks are not as secure in anyone’s cage. When I clean out their cage, I just cut the zip-ties off, soak the sundecks in the sink and then zip-tie them back on. These sundecks clean off very easily and look brand new when dried. I also use a cleaner that is safe for birds that cleans their toys and branches really well called Poop-Off.In 6 months, the Sundecks have not peeled, chipped or cracked and that is great with 14 birds using them. That is fantastic because any of the wooden sundecks I have previously owned never lasted this long. This is an item that I would recommend to any bird owner considering purchasing this item.

Be careful before placing in your pets cage. The end of the center support bar was sharp. I plan on filing it down before placing in our birds cage. Will not use until I do so. It is a safety risk and could cut the birds foot. I have two of these already without an issue. I assume it is just one of those things that happen from time to time.

I bought two new wire shelves to replace two we had that had cheaper powder coat and rust. Sadly, these issues must’ve already existed on the ones we had without us noticing because the new ones were worse! Really disappointed especially since these are made by Prevue who makes cages. Ended up returning them and just kept the ones we already had but had wanted to replace (thankfully one is only used for car travel).

This perch is very well made. The metal is smooth and strong, and the size is perfect for my green cheek conures. The only issue I had was that Amazon shipped it in a padded envelope instead of a box, so it got bent in shipping. I was able to bend it back into shape, and the metal wasn't weakened. I'm very happy with this purchase.

These are great little sundecks and very easy to install. All of my birds take a rest occasionally throughout the day and don't want to have to sit on a perch and hold on. These satisfy their ability to just sit and take a safe nap.

My birds love this little shelf. It's a great place to put treats and toys.

The media could not be loaded.  My litttle guy loves it, I hang it inside the cage and he plays with his toys more enthusiastically, also I hang it outside the cage, (all the better for getting to know that pretty bird who lives opposite)

This small size sundeck...is a great way to add a ledge for small birds to enjoy walking or perching on at different heights in cage!By covering wire rungs with mactac...my diamond doves just love sitting on these...& makes cleanup easy too:)

What a great concept! My parrotlet hasn't got brave enough to use it yet but is curious! The only concern I have is the spacing of the bars, it's a little wide. They should've made the spacing narrower. I'm hoping it's not a problem and my parrotlet can use it.My parrotlet finally ventured out to the patio, the spacing should definitely be narrower as he stumbled a few times on the bars but he's a curious little guy and continues to use it. Prevue is also the brand of his bird cage, I'm not sure why they didn't make the smaller patio with spacing similar to a parakeet or cockatiel cage.

It’s small but I knew that. It just didn’t hang on the cage well. I had to manipulate it a bit. I’m still worried it might fall off

I adore these! Perfect for giving me more hanging space in my rats cage! And they even like climbing across them to get to other places. Exaclty like the photo and would recommend to a friend
