Very Short and Very Funny
"The Best of the Church Curmdugeon, Then Tweets My Soul" by David Regier is a hilarious book that will be enjoyed by anyone familiar with the current American church culture, at least in the evangelical circles.Originating from the tweets written by the author on his popular Twitter account, this very short book is a real delight. It is always a good thing to be able to laugh at oneself and this book helps us to do that.I read through the whole volume in a short sitting. I enjoyed it so much that I immediately bought a copy for a friend who is also. a fan of the Church Curmudgeon's writings.

My Son is Still Laughing
Our son was downstairs in the living room, laughing hysterically. "Dad, you gotta see this." I discover him poring through my copy of "Then Tweets My Soul: The Best of the Church Curmudgeon". (I'm hoping that my son hands the book back to me, at some point.) Whenever the Curmudgeon delivers another gem into the Twittersphere, it's a remarkably consistent haymaker across the plate, a wide mix of the satirical to the sardonic. @ChrchCurmudgron was the first to launch as a "Twitter anon", as they are now known. Numerous have followed and none come close; it is only fitting that David Regier would be the first to bridge the intra-media gap, from the web to text, and bring the Church Curmudgeon to book form and to the hands of my (still) laughing son.

Funny Book
This is a short, funny book that I would recommend to anyone who has had a gripe about worships songs, the pastor's sermons, technology in the church and where everyone eats lunch after the service. Being a woman of a certain age, I laughed out loud often because I have been in church culture my whole life and some of the tweets are spot on. Want a new and better perspective on your own church and your attitudes towards it? Read this book and laugh along with the author. Then go hug your worship leader.

but it is fantastic content and I'm glad it was compiled
If you are familiar with church culture, then you will find mirth in this book. David Regier knows the subject matter well, and lovingly lampoons it, interspersed with puns of the highest caliber.Keep in mind, this is a collection from his Twitter history. It is a collection of quips, not prose. If you have seen the Church Curmudgeon on Twitter, then you know what you are getting. It isn't new content, but it is fantastic content and I'm glad it was compiled.

I Chuckled More Than Is Prudent
Funny Stuff! I follow The Church Curmudgeon on Twitter, so this collection was a must for me. If you find humor in church culture, or if you just enjoy "grumpy old man"-style humor, this is right up your alley. Can't wait for the next book!

Excellent!
David Regier has set himself up as the king of curmudgeonly Christian comedy on Twitter; it's no surprise that his book (which is largely just a collection of the Church Curmudgeon's tweets over the years) is just as good. After I had received it, I read through it the first time in about a half hour. It's not a very substantial work, but each 140-characters-or-less tweet is just as funny as the next. I occasionally laughed out loud, especially at the Greek puns. Definitely worth the money. It will most assuredly serve as my favored "bathroom book" for many years.

Very funny!
This is a very funny booklet with many tweets regarding the religious life. Many of them are concerning true situations that happen in our churches. Really funny.

... that only someone steeped in the church could really enjoy. But enjoy it they will
This a short collection of tweets that only someone steeped in the church could really enjoy. But enjoy it they will! It's full of puns and groan-worthy jokes about church. It'd make a great gift for anyone who works in a church.
