Re-Review
UPDATED: Rec'd a replacement and it actually works. Calibration is a little clunky but it settles on a reading after approx 3 seconds unlike the first one I was shipped. This thing is not worth the plastic it is made of. I tried to use at first time and the read out scrolls from 9.0 to 5.7 to 10.1 to 1.09 to 4.5 and never stops. There is no way this thing is accurate because it never stops on one reading. Awful product, save your $$.

Easy and convenient to use.I
I am a retired pharmacist and do my own PH adjustment of our house water by using a chemical feed pump containing Sodium Hydroxide. I have to test the water for several days everytime I fill the chemical feed tank which is about every 6 months. The PH meter gives me more specific information than a color indicator that only tells you if something is acid or basic . I have acid well water in the PH range of 4 which will attack copper plumbing if not neutralized.

Make sure to calibrate often its easy and worth it
Once calibrated it works great just check it from time to time it comes with 3 different PH buffers but i just use white vinegar the PH is 2.4 calibrate from there good luck

Product does not work even when calibrated
I have different kinds of water and have pool/spa and I constantly test at home with chemical reagents and verify it with two other places. This pH meter does not work and I would not recommend this to anyone.Calibration does not help. The instructions are in very poor English. If the manufacturer thinks the product actually works, there needs to be clearer explanation of why the calibrated product does not work when reading in water from other sources. The manufacturer is better off explaining with a video showing how the calibration is done, and show that the meter actually reads accurate pH.pH is on a logarithmic scale and the function is not implemented well in this electronic meter. When calibrated at 7 with deionized water, the 4.0 solution shows 6.2. When calibrated with the 4.0 buffer, the 7.0 water shows 5.7 (and the 8.4 water shows 10.3).

Best Budget Ph pen
Its .1 accurate at best but out of all cheap ph meters its the best ive used. I know have an apera meter but this one was always accurate for me and its accurate because you have to calibrate it yourself. Dont buy one of the junk meters that has a calibration button. Great for budget grows

Useless
Does not stay calibrated and the readings jump all over the place. I used buffer powder to calibrate and it would stray from the setting on the same day it was calibrated. If it sits for a few days it loses it.I see that it has been discontinued and is no longer available. The company that makes this is the same one that makes others that look similar to this but are sold under different brand names. I have to assume they all originate from the same factory since they're all practically identical so I would avoid any that look like this.
