Essential reading - as any of Mr. Chandler's books.
This book reinforces my faith in the fact that "selling" does not have to be "conning" or some kind of manipulation. One can sell and do business from the right, sincere place in one's spirit and do much betterin a much, more joyful way. Mr. Chandler's whole approach to business ends up being a holisticphilosophy which one could take toward life - period. I most highly recommend any of his booksand CD's. He has a simple, soft-spoken way of laying out principles by which we can approach sales.......and life.

Learn to Love Selling Succesfully
Practising the disciplines within The Joy of Selling by the punchy, powerful and prolific Steve Chandler, has enabled me to create my most commercially successful year to date....And what's more I am having fun doing it!By slowing down I feel calmer and under less pressure. Thanks to Chandler I now love selling as much as I love delivering my (coaching) service.Steve helped me to improve my selling focus, enthusiasm and creativity. I am subsequently using storytelling in a far more effective way to create new clients. If you've already read one of Chandlers other 20+ books you will know he writes succinct punchy chapters that make his books an effective easy read.By combining the wisdom within The Joy of Selling with the MATCH RESULTS AFTER learning in Zero Sell Sale (Damian Thompson) and The Jelly Effect (Andy Bounds) I created the CALMING sales model. This system enables me to create clients without it feeling like I'm selling. When you combine these disciplines with the EXPERIENCING AUTHENTIC SERVICE concepts in The Prosperous Coach (Steve Chandler & Rich Litvin) and Getting Naked (Patrick Lencioni) you'll commercially crack it!As my friend and fellow Performance Coach, Simon Hartley, once wrote, "do what you love and love what you do".Learn to love selling.

A good book, audibook read too slowly.
This review is about the audibook. My takeaways from this book are:- Talk to the small people, don't just jump over them to get to the economic buyer.- Ways to make cold-calls more enjoyable.- You don't have to be a specific type to be good.I regularly listen to audiobooks. I had never found it so hard to listen to one, so I stopped. Then I realized I could increase the speed. In the audible app for android it is possible to speed up the audiobook three times, and still understand clearly what the author is saying. It turns out the slow speaking was ruining it for me. So, if you find the voice annoying, try increasing the pace. Why give it two stars? Because if I had not increased the pace of the book, I would never have finished it.Update: I used to think a professional reader should have been hired and was not in order to save money, until recently a friend told me the author is actually quite proud of his voice and said so in a conference or speech. I would not have guessed it, but then some people might like the book even at a normal pace.
