Clarisonic Mia 1 Sonic Facial Cleansing Brush System, Pink

Half of everything I order from Amazon is very good product the other half is junk.

I bought the Clarisonic Mia for Christmas of 2010, based on the incredible reviews here and around the web. At the time I had been experiencing a shift in my skin -- instead of getting a handful of new pimples each week (the kind that eventually turn into whiteheads) my acne was becoming hormonal/cystic in nature. Having never experienced that before, I didn't know how to address it, and I hoped that the Mia would help.It did not. But I've waited a year to write this review because I wanted to be sure I was giving the Mia a fair chance. Overall I would say it is a good product, but it is not life-changing, and it did not "cure" my acne.At first I used it every day, morning and night. It came with the Delicate brush, which worked well and didn't irritate my skin. (Later I switched to a Normal brush with no significant issues.) After brushing, I could feel a difference immediately -- my skin was definitely smoother, and it was easier to apply moisturizer or put on makeup. (Less of each was required.) My regular pimples healed faster, and didn't come in as frequently or as strong.However, the hormonal/cystic acne seemed unaffected, and after a while, the brushing did seem to become too harsh for my face. (Perhaps an initial sloughing of skin was needed, since I didn't really exfoliate before this.) I backed off to once a day, then once every other day. I also tried a few different cleansers -- the Clarisonic one was nice, but Purity by Philosophy is so highly recommended that I decided to try it. Like the Mia, Purity is a good product (takes off makeup, leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean) but it isn't a miracle-worker.So that's how I use the Mia now: every other night in the shower, paired with a dime-sized amount of Purity. I think this helps keep my skin soft and clean, but it has had less of an impact on my acne than I had hoped.(Note: This isn't part of the review, but I thought I might share anyway. What HAS helped with my acne is going off birth control, touching/picking at my face as little as possible, getting enough sleep, and (possibly) drinking green tea every day. The first few months off BC were TERRIBLE, but things have settled down now and I'm much happier.)

This product is wonderful, and I bought it after I was given a demo at a beauty store.HOWEVERApparently the item I got from RobRobie Robin via Amazon was a FAKE. The product randomly stopped working five months after purchase. I did trouble shooting with it and once done the suggestions from Clarisonic, contacted the manufacturer. The number on the bottom told the company that the product is a FAKE. It comes with all the stuff a regular Clarisonic Mia comes with, but it is fake.Amazon customer service was awesome. I told them what happened and they are aware of the problem. Even though I don't have any of the packaging left (I purchased it five months ago), I will still be able to return the product for a full refund. And then I will go through a licensed Clarisonic dealer to purchase a legitimate product that will be covered by Clarisonic. I don't have the time to deal with scam artists!You can only give seller feedback within 90 days of ordering. So once I found out it was a fake, I could not leave a crappy review on the seller page.Awesome product , just make sure you get a REAL one.ETA: Some helpful tips on figuring out if your Mia is a genuine Clarisonic product or a fake1. The power. The vibrations from a fully charged genuine product will make you want to sneeze when it goes over the bridge of your nose. Sorry I don't have a better way to describe it! I got a genuine one from Sephora and it doesn't gradually lose power over time.2. The charger. There isn't a clip or snap that holds the charger on, it's held together with a magnet. A genuine Clarisonic charger will stick tight to the handle. The fraud one is very easy to knock off, but the genuine one holds together tight enough that you can knock the unit over and the charger won't come off.3. I would recommend checking with Clarisonic customer service to make sure you got a genuine product as soon as it comes out of the box so you can return it - I bought the cheaper product and got a fraud.

Like the product but wish they would have told that the company isn’t in business anymore so no warranty or available replacement brushe heads?I contacted the company to register the product and was told they aren’t in business anymore ?.Meanwhile I was able to get generic brush heads that fit but I had already used it so kept it.Seems like the seller should have mentioned this and lowered the price since you are having no recourse if it does work

I've had my Clarisonic for about 2 years now and have enjoyed using it. I saw reviews about counterfeit clarisonics being sold but I can tell you that mine is not. I use Proactiv with this at night since Proactiv is the only thing that works on my skin. I don't use it everyday but try to at least 5 times a week (the other days I just use a wipe due to being tired and lazy). I wouldn't say I ever had severe acne, just mild acne and my skin gets really oily. I can honestly say that my skin has benefited from using it and haven't had a negative experience. I along with most of the other reviewers went through a period when I first started using it that I broke out but you need to stick with it. Eventually after about a month my skin started to look good again and I've used it ever since. My skin still does get oily but I guess that is genetics. I won't stop using it due to believing that it is helping my skin and does penetrate deep to get all the dirt out and helps wrinkles. I get compliments on my skin on how it looks and for being soft, so it must be doing something. It is expensive for a face brush and I do think people can find cheaper alternatives. But the clarisonic is considered one of the best and if you're willing to spend the money I'd look at it as an investment for your skin. Overall I'd recommend this to anyone suffering from acne and has tried everything.

This product does what it promises. I don't have an acme problem and I have quite oily skin, even now that I'm in my mid 30s. I've bought this product, after hearing/reading so many people rave about it. After the first couple of uses my skin felt so soft and it looked so much cleaner. In the first week I did notice a few breakouts, especially in the areas where it's more problematic for me. But after keep using it (twice a day), my face totally cleared up. I feel that my face now absorbs my cream so much better.I just love it!!

This is a very effective beauty product. My skin felt really clean and smooth after the first go. I'm in my early forties and prone to dry skin. I find this removes the dead skin cells and gives me a smooth base for my moisturiser. I would recommend this product for any age group, even though it's a bit pricey. Would make a lovely christmas present.

This is a fantastic product, and well worth the money. You can see a result within the first few goes of using. A big benefit for when applying make up or using expensive skin care range. I also think men should invest in one as well! I wish I had of bought the pro so I could use it on my body..Terrific, I'm very happy!

I only had this now for a week but the sking really is much smoother and softer right after the first use. Looks fresher too. Time will show if this will help to reduce my spots. For now - very happy with it.

a little bit pricey but this product really helps to clean your skin properly. You can feel the difference at the first time.
