We have a lovely ceramic vase that leaked the first time we used it.We prefer non-toxic products whenever we can get them, and this water based sealer really did the trick. Based on the instructions I calculated the ratio of water to product was approximately 12:1, and I used an oral medicine syringe to get the ratio right (I just mixed up a couple of ounces). Then I swirled it around inside the vase until I could see it completely coated it. I did that twice, allowing a full 24 hours after each coat. Viola, no more leaks!

So far I'm very impressed.I tried an oil based product and it failed miserably on another deck.This stuff is economical and to my surprise is still lookinggreat after several months. I wanted it to retain the original pressuretreated color and it has with adding just a bit of honey color to it.So far no mold or mildew and the deck is up against the woods.You can brush it or spray it on and even a Windex bottle is great for hard tosee areas.A plus is that if you get it on siding or concrete it will dry absolutely clear and youwill see no evidence of it. As usual I was very careful and covered up all non wood areasbut later decided to test it. You never would know where it was and it does not stain.

Although this product is supposed to be easy to apply with a sprayer, be aware that if you have any pooling or dripping of the product TRY to remove immediately since it will lead to spotting which cannot be rectified. Once the product penetrates the surface (even a few hours later), it CANNOT be removed no mater what you use. You are then left with a surface that has multiple spots from the overspray/pooling and the areas with the residual product then act to attract dirt and overall the surface becomes more difficult to clean.I used to be able to hose down my decks, now have to vigorously scrub to remove the dirt which is adherent to the residual spots and even when the area is "clean" they look horrible from all the spotting.DO NOT apply to any surface that has been painted or has another sealer since it will lead to pooling and unequal absorption of the product so it leaves spots from the residue.Yes it repels water, but it does so unevenly and it also reduces water evaporation again leading to more spotting and dirt collection.Although basically the product dries transparent to translucent if you apply to pigmented concrete it can bring out colors unevenly, again resulting in cosmetic issues that have not faded with time (applied a year ago). The areas that I treated that did not spot or change color don't significantly look different when area dry, but when wet you can see the streaking and over spray. Lastly make sure the area you are applying this to is as clean as new before applying (I even used concrete cleaner and power washed, but still had problems), since this may result in changes in color, uneven penetration and trap in dirt etc.Overall I wish I never applied this product.

Very easy to apply. Seems to work well on my freshly powerwashed driveway.

I got this product later than promised. The company used the US Post office for their shipping, and the goons and gorillas at the Post Office decided that the fastest way from California to Oregon was via Texas. As we live in an area where the ground freezes solid about this time of year, I was very concerned that it would not get here in time to get my raised bed ready. However, my luck held out.When you pour this stuff into a gallon of water, it ends up looking like watery fat free milk. I had my doubts.However, I painted it on to several areas of the boards, then later went back and finished the rest of the boards. In the areas I had already painted, the stuff just beaded off - it was actually working. I of course cannot verify that it will work for years, but I was impressed with how well it worked in the short term at least. As we have several projects we will be doing over the winter and next spring, I will be purchasing more of this, I am impressed.

I used this on the side of the fence that I could only get to from my neighbor's yard. I used it because it is water based and I did not want to damage any of her yard. It works well.

Followed the directions, what little they were "Add contents to one gallon water" put two coats on my deck. Allowing to dry between coats.three days latter a rain came. It was as if I had not put any sealer on it at all. My Advise! Buy Thompson Water Seal.

Difference in the before and after sections of our patio are very negligible. We did half of the patio area under the pergola and waited to see if it was different and repelled stain, mold, mildew any better. It did not seem go be very much difference in the two sections.
