Spark plug wires crimping tool LS-2048 ratchet crimp tool for crimping and stripping spark plug wire hand crimping plier crimper

I have a twin engine boat with 351 windsors. I used this tool on 16 - 8mm wires and it worked great. It is a quality tool that is well built. I would by again but I will not need to because it will last me the rest of my life my sons' when he has to dig out my garage after I kick the bucket and put it in his stuff.

I used this for my MSD double crimp wires. The proximal fitting crimped the connector to the main wire insulation, and the distal fitting crimped the connector the actual wire. Worked awesome and good value for the $$. Why not use this when it can make life so much better, and get more consistent results? Especially with expensive cars and expensive wires. (MSD included crimp tool wants you to use a vice which is another cost if for some reason you didn't have one)

I bought this to replace the vice clamp I have, it's not much better.I was using it on 8.5mm wires and it would not cut down to the core, I would have to finish the cut with a razor blade (as other reviewers have said)As for the crimp, well again it didnt like the 8.5mm wire (which it was advertised for) but it did make a solid crimp to get the job done.I would not recommend this nor would I but it again.

great for making plug wire crimps

This is the first time I have used a crimper to do the spark plug wires and this did the trick and was much easier than using a pair of pliers. I would imagine there are some nicer ones if you are making wires every day, but for the average home shop user, these work great. I'd purchase again and recommend them.

Got tired of ill-fitting plug wires on my Isuzu NPR tow truck, so have been making my own. These work GREAT. Don't just crimp, but also curls the crimped ends over for a really firm grip on the wire. Highly recommend them.

The worked wonderfully on the 8mm spark plug wires. Great value
