I bought this to replace a broken Okuma that only lasted a short time. Penn reels never disappoint and this is no exception. Nice large handle, copes with braid well really good reel.

Such a pretty reel, quiet and smooth.

Solid constructed reel for the price, there’s a few downsides such as the weight compared to other brands of the same size and the cranking of the handle gets a little stiff after repeated use but a touch of oil and it’s golden. As for the upsides the drag system on this reel is near perfect, holds more than enough line while still maintaining a decent standard of line lay and is extremely durable, put this product through the ringer and don’t see anything damaging it short of driving a tank over it, made to last.
