Wild Colour: How to Make and Use Natural Dyes

This book has lovely detail about dyeing wool with natural dyes. I am looking forward to using it over time. Very detailed with good colour charts. I’m sure I will come back to it time and time again.

This is a really great dyeing book, which is used by the tutors at Macclesfield Silk Mill, who run one day natural dyeing courses. It has a page for each plant. My favourite feature is the 'Colour Swatch Guide', which shows what colour you will get with an alum mordant, what colour the dye on the fibres looks like and what colour you will get with an iron modifier, after dyeing. Clear guides and good colour charts to show you how to achieve your goal. Good colourful book

Nicely illustrated and well-written book on natural dyeing. Lots of useful plants are covered, including some of the less commonly featured but easy to find UK plants like ivy, oak, dandelion etc. The dyeing information is accessible to a beginner but there's plenty to keep going back to in the plant section for a more experienced dyer. The woad dyeing section is a good inclusion.

A great book for beginners in learning how to dye wool . Gives so much information and have used it loads of times when dyeing my wool.

I gave this book as a gift for a friend who will be dyeing different types of wool. It is an excellent reference book.

Tolles Buch, mit Anregungen, Rezepten und sehr vielen Bildern. Für Anfänger und Fortgeschrittene ein *Must have* Würde ich mir jederzeit wieder kaufen, auch als Geschenk empfehlenswert.

This is the old book,they just changed the cover and I thought it is a new book which is not. Really disappointed.
