Racers Edge 3000 1/2-Ounce Bottle W Needle Tip (Quantity 20)

They have changed the design of the bottle!! The new bottle is round, the cap is very thin, the metal needle part is half the length. I've already put some grease/oil in these to try them out, and I don't think there's a better oiler on amazon, so I'll keep them - but note that the oiler in the pic is NOT what you will receive. Add on to that, I ordered 5 and they only sent me 4. Super frustrating!!

The product that arrived has nothing in common with the picture.The bottle portrayed in the image is rectangular with an oval horizontal cross-section as well as a very long needle of roughly 4 cm.Racers Edge 3000 1/2-Ounce Bottle W Needle TipHowever, the bottle that arrived is a perfect cylinder with a needle 1/3 of the length at 12 mm. It is a different product entirely.I needed the long needle, and got a short stubby one.I am sure people love this bottle for what it is designed to do, but the bottle I received is not the bottle advertised. I paid 6 dollars for this thing, and it isn't even worth the packaging to send back.

These are nice little bottles for use as precision oilers, etc. I ordered 3 of them. Mine have 19 gauge needles and scabbords (measured with a digital caliper and checked against a table of standard needle gauges). 19 gauge is getting just a little bit big for fluids that are water-thin, but still entirely useable. For thicker oils it would be perfect.The bottle is 2 7/8" from base to tip of plastic cap; the needle is about 1 1/8" long, for an overall height of about 4 1/8". The bottle is 1 1/4" wide. If you plan to fill these with fluids from larger containers, you might consider adding on a set of small funnels, such as http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FKERMW/ref=oh_details_o00_s01_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 .Taking off 1 star only because the inside of the cap around the bottom end of the needle isn't finished very well, with lots of plastic flash that's virtually impossible to remove. For any purpose I can foresee, this won't have any negative affect. Recommended.Edit, Feb. 2017: while I haven't bought one of these recently, I see they're now using a different bottle and needle. I suspect I wouldn't like it as much now. Leaving my 4-star rating since I haven't seen the new one up close.

I got these for oil. To oil my spinning wheel and other crafting machines. The needle tip allows for precise oiling of the moving parts and with less spillage to wipe up, to keep it off of fabric and fiber. Or to collect dirt and debris. I am sure others with similar oiling jobs will find them useful. And because there is less waste, I save money as well. I had trouble getting the oil applied at certain places that needed it and now everything is running much smoother and and quieter and thanks to being properly lubed they will last a lot longer.

Worked well two times, but the cap split at the seam near the needle. Had it less than a month. Not very good quality. Not recommended.

Had bought these bottles on a prior order about 2 years before, Racers Edge 3000. They had oval bottles that didn't roll off table, longer metal rods, and a bright red cap that could be reinstalled with one hand. I'm forced to say they cheapened the product and sold it under the same part number as previous superior product. Buyer Beware!!

Great for solvent. I used to dunk the patches into my hoppes 9 container and the patch would just absorb too much solvent and drip all over my rifle/floor/desk. Noe I can bring the rod up with patch by the chamber/breach and take this bottle and drop 5-6 drops of solvent on the patch and send it down the bore without the mess. Probably going to get another to help me oil up the rails on my handguns and get into other tight places. Just kinda wish the cap had something to attach it to the bottle when it was off, its small and will be easy to lose.

I ordered this to put gun oil in precisely the right spots. They work awesome. I also ordered syringes to do the same thing and ended up putting the oil in this product. The problemWith a syringe applicator Is that it over applies with lighter oil and if you get an air bubble in the system oil ends up everywhere. Not the case with these bottles. I would recommend some kind of cheap box to keep them in as the needles are delicate and need a little protection. Also I store them flat on there side and have had no leaks so far.
