Makes my 1941 Philco like new
This switch was a very close duplicate to the original switch. There was no modification needed, and now the light goes on again when the door is opened. Just like 1941!

Piece of junk.
This switch is so poorly made. It flickered and died as soon as I connected it. I wish I hadn't wasted my time and money. Don't make the same mistake. I took another reviewer's advice and ordered the Electrolux 297243800 which was actually less expensive but is of much better quality and worked perfectly.

Made incorrectly
The product is incorrect, the contact is backwards. It should be a normal closed contact to turn on light and give alarm when door is open after a a few minutes. Instead when door is closed,it is turning on light and sending a signal to controller that door is open. Need a new switch.
