Why won't it work in linux?

It does work with Linux. The other answer is flippant and wrong, and should be removed.

Does this work on windows 10

I have a 10-year-old LIDE 25 and it works perfectly with Windows 10 as do all of the LIDE range. If it does not work it is the wetware causing a problem (Wetware = Lifeform)

Does this scanner come with photo studio software?
