A great intro in 100 pages
A lot of books stretch on for pages before winding down to a single good idea. Paul Rand does the opposite - A lot of wonderful ideas within 100 pages. Must read intro for a designer or anyone interested in design

Just what I needed
The book is a collection of Paul Rand's own designs. I have been struggling with understanding compositions and innovation in advertising. The designs are black and white so that's a heads up. Apart from that, absolutely recommend it. Only downside is, I wish it was longer and collection was bigger.

Simple, yet beautiful.
It was an eyeopener. His view on simplicity and design reflects in his lifetime of work and achievements. He was a true designer.

Good content, no question, BUT poorly digitalized (in black and white)
I was very happy to get a affordable copy for my digital devices of Paul Rand's book, but I'd expected the images to be at least in color and not black and white. It's a sort of a joke if you read a note under a black/white image like "Magazine cover red and green 1939".But ok, maybe it's ok as teaser to buy the "real" printed hardcover version.
