Good as a Fish Cleaning Station.
Contains Odors very well. I have had it one day. I have doggie pee pads and kitchen organic waste like raw fish in it. It does work. I have an efficiency apartment and I sleep in the same area where I cook. I had to take garbage out twice a day. I do not have a gabage disposal. This is the best remedy I have found to contain smells. They should provide an extra rubber gasket. The gasket may crack and wear out. At least provide a source for replacement of the gasket for future needs. This is being described as a Diaper Pail but it actually is a very high quality trash container. Most reviews indicate it is being used for many different garbage problems that cause stink. We are all recycling too, so the size of this is ideal for organic waste, and diapers, peed pads from pets. etc. and fish cleaning. Fish is the worst odor causing thing I can think of. We have "fish houses" up here in the Northwoods- just for cleaning fish after coming back from sport fishing. That is how bad fish stinks. The fish house operation has a freezer to put the guts in after you are done. I notice when this is in the locked position there is a gap and the bad smell leaks out. That could be a product flaw or a bad gasket seal.

Great, until you have to change the bag.
We really like this diaper pail. It’s lovely and I’m hoping it will last a while. It’s only been in use for less than two months. So far so good, no permanent diaper smell like plastic pails have.My husband HATES it. Because he’s mainly the one changing the bag. I just did it for the first time and now I get it. Where the center bag holder attaches to the can blocks the bag from coming out. We use strong bags thankfully but if we didn’t, it would easily rip every time. I had to flip the can on its side and shake to try and get the diapers to disperse and make room. It was a huge pain.Guess we just need to not fill the bag so full, but then that’s just wasteful. I’d heard such good things about this pail so I’m pretty disappointed. Also, quite sure a toddler can easily figure out the lock if they see you do it even once, so fair warning.

Love! Love! Love!
Love! Love! Love! I can't say enough how much I love my Ubbi! The color (robin's egg blue) is just beautiful! There is no dirty diaper odor in my house, but beware when you open the cover of the Ubbi! It does a great job of keeping that nasty odor contained in itself! I almost didn't get one because I had read the reviews about bags catching on the inside of the container and causing rips in their bags, but I'm really glad I ignored those! I have stuffed (and I mean stuffed) my Ubbi and I use just normal cheap drawstring Walmart brand trash bags and have not come close to ripping them. When the Ubbi is full, it ends up being about half of a 13 gallon trash bag. It can get hard to get the bag out if you try to overfill it, but as I mentioned, it has not torn the bag on me. I'm so glad that I broke down and bought one of these vs the diaper genie I was given at my shower. I couldn't be happier!

Waste of money
I bought this pail to replace my Arm & Hammer Munchkin pail that broke. I figured I could save some money on refilling the munchkin bags. However, I am now returning to buy another Munchkin pail. This pail is attractive, yes. But it does not contain odor!! And I mean closed. When the lid is completely closed, and the door is locked, an odor still comes out of the pail. This never happened with my munchkin pail. When the pail door is open, the smell is pretty bad. And when you open the entire lid to change the bag, it is horrible! The smell lingers long after the bag is out of the room and the lid is closed and locked. Its really bad.I never had any issues with the bag ripping like others did. Thats because I never let the bag get full. If I did, my entire house would have smelled. With a 2 year old, I was changing the bag every other day-it was not yet full. Now that I am about to have a second child, 2 kids in diapers, this pail will just absolutely not do.This was a total waste of my money. I regret buying it.

Look I'm not all "negative nelly" that people on here are like blah blah blah but heres the thing
Wow, does this can smell. Seriously, it smells. And NOT just when its open, this sucker smells up my daughters bathroom & bedroom. UGH. Look I'm not all "negative nelly" that people on here are like blah blah blah but heres the thing, it doesn't contain the smell, its not good at that. What it is good at is looking pretty and easy to operate because of the slide. And lets face it, for a diaper pale it is quite attractive. But the smell is not ok.I have used this for cloth and disposable and it is honestly better for cloth, the reason I have is that it did in fact stink a lot less, despite not having a huge reservoir you still might only empty this for a few days with disposables, with cloth you are likely doing a load of diapers every day to two so the stuff doesn't sit in the can for as long and doesn't penetrate to the level as disposables will. It is a good can for cloth, get a big wet bag that does in a normal trash can and it works great.I have tried to de-smell the can on its own (not too successful), I had baking soda pucks, a small baking soda box, left it in the sun, left it in the freezing cold, lysol, clorox, and it goes on. It isn't great. Its pretty and easy to use. Other than that, meh......stinky.

Doesn’t keep the smell in, but looks pretty!
We have two of these. I bought them as I didn’t want to have to buy the specific bags for the diaper genie. So you can use your own bag which is nice, but as soon as you open the slot to put the dirty diaper in the pail is fully open and the smell can be terrible (especially as the baby gets older and eats real food!). It’s pretty and comes in a lot of colours, which is nice, but that and the fact that you can use your own garbage bags are the two positives about it. I believe the diaper genie, or anything that has double close to keep the smell in, is a better product. Sometimes by baby’s room has a hit of diaper pail so i will take it out of his room and put it in the bathroom... which doesn’t need to happen with diaper genies (or similar models).

This is the nicest looking diaper pail I have ever seen. I purchased it because you can use your own garbage bags inside instead of being a slave to the diaper genie refill purchases over n over. It looks great in my sons nursery and holds the smell in very well. The only downfall us when you open it to put another diaper in the smell comes out and my god is it potent. I guess that would be a benefit of diaper genie, each diaper stink is locked away in individual bags

Near the end of the week orders start to penetrate but overall this was a good purchase and a whole lot better than a regular garbage can was. Also fits about a weeks worth of diapers

Well sealed!
So far it's been great! Arrived perfectly, it's very solid and keeps the smells in. Only issue we've encountered is the bag sometimes gets caught when trying to remove it. Otherwise i like this far better than our precious two diaper genies. The robins egg blue is gorgeous!
