Silicon Power 2TB SSD 3D NAND A55 SLC Cache Performance Boost SATA III 2.5" 7mm (0.28") SSD Internal Solid State Drive (SU002TBSS3A55S25EC)

Excellent SD drive. I use it as an external hard drive. If they were not really pricey, I'd get another one. I will wait for that day to come. Installation is easy as any other hard drive and storage compacity is acceptable. Speed is okay too.

The Windows 7 Professional computer that I built about 8 years ago on an Intel server board has a Western Digital spinning hard drive that's still only about 30% full, but I wanted a failsafe in case something stops working and I'm unable to reach that drive anymore. This Silicon Power 1TB should fill the bill and allow the quick transfer. The good thing about these SSD 2.5" drives is they can be put anywhere as long as they're connected and they don't require a bay like the big WD Black 500GB HD, but can be taped or even just tucked into a corner of the case. The data needs to be saved after all the work to get it, and the SSD drive is easily connected to another system. The installation is easy and is a small price for the insurance it provides.

Picked up this hard drive recently for my Anker Eufy camera system in the home. It was easy to install and has worked great ever since.

Works great, boots up my old laptop better than my old HDD. From a minute to mere seconds!

Great item

I bought one of these years ago in 1TB form to expand from the 256 GB SSD one I originally started with in 2016, and I have not been disappointed in its performance. I recently needed to switch to Linux from Windows 10 because my old desktop can't support Windows 11. I used it as an opportunity to expand HD space once again with the added benefit of not having to overwrite my original drive to do the install, and so this 2TB drive was just the ticket. I've had it running Linux for a few weeks and have had zero issues with it. Boot times are quick and programs are super snappy. Lots of file transfers going on due to the OS switch and everything not coming from a USB drive is very fast. I'm still running the 1TB drive in the same tower to pull files off of and it's still working flawlessly as well. This is now my fourth Silicon Power SSD going back to 2016 and I am 100% satisfied with all of them. My experience is that these are some of the least expensive SSD drives out there but they are still high quality, and still plenty fast for everyday use. They blow any HDD made out of the water for sure.

I have a guy that works on my computer and I won't take it to anyone else. Over the years, he has potentially rebuilt it by upgrading much of the hardware. Like all hard drives, They don't last for a long time and I always defer to my computer guy as to which one to purchase. The last time my hard drive went out, he suggested getting this one. He mentioned however, that the price has really gone up. I was a bit surprised myself how much they are now but, since I needed a hard drive, I went with it. It's been a couple of months now and it running just fine. If it lasts me a couple of years I will be happy. The price they are selling for today however, is a bit to swallow.

Works great in my older laptop! It is much faster now. Easy to install.
