Encyclopedia Of Scrapbooking (Creating Keepsakes)

At first, I couldn't figure out why I liked this book so much more than my other "encyclopedia of scrapbooking" but then I figured it out! It's exactly as my review title states. This book is like a scrapbook of all the scrapbook tools & techniques! The layout of the book and its pages are simple and crisp but so elegant! It is definitely set to my type of layouts and I am having a great time reading thru this book. As a note, I am a beginner scrapbooker so I find this to be a great book to read and shift through, however, other advanced scrapbookers might not find it so useful.

This book is great if you are just starting to dabble in paper crafting, but if you have been either stamping or scrapping for a long time this book doesn't have much to offer. I've been stamping for ten years or more and just transitioned to scrapbooking, I was hoping this book could offer more than just techniques but that's really all it is. Along with pages that contributors have sent in but there are no page layouts or explanations about how to create the pages pictured. So I wouldn't exactly call it an encyclopedia of scrapbooking, more of a technique encyclopedia would be more accurate. Coupled with another book like Imagine: Fun, Fabulous Layouts for Every Scrapbooker, would be a better bet for getting a more well rounded idea of what you can do.

I purchased this book for my wife and daughter who are just beginning scrapbooking. We looked through the entire book in one day, and to be honest were overwhelmed by the volume of ideas photographed in this book. It is also packed with detailed descriptions of all the different techniques that they will be using for quite some time. I read all the reviews before purchasing this book, and understand that there are probably a lot of advanced techniques that hard core scrapbookers use, but since my ladies are new to this, I imagine that it will be great for them as they learn this art.

I received this book yesterday and since the moment of opening the package, I've not put it down! This book is a book for scrapbooking dummies and novices like myself as well as for the pros I aim to emulate. It is a comprehensive and BEAUTIFULLY illustrated book covering A - Z of scrapbooking. The hundreds of varieties of techniques, needed supplies, how-to instructions and layouts for ideas cover the entire gamut of this enjoyable hobby. Buy this book and you've made your money back immediately! I have a subscription to another scrapbooking magazine, but compared to this book, my subscription will only be for entertainment.

I love to scrapbook, even though I have only been doing it for about 6 months. This book is a perfect guide. I often find myself looking in the index to find ideas and examples for using embelishments. Even for a more experienced scrapbooker this book has many tips you might find useful. If for any reason I can't find what I need in this book (which is very rare), I can always go to on of the many websites listed in the resoures section in the back of the book. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to scrapbook.

I recently purchaced this book, and i was very disappointed. I have some of the other Creating Keepsakes books, such as the "Scrapbooks tips" and "Scrapbooking Family heritage" (I'd give all of them 5 stars). But, the Creating Keepsakes Encyclopedia has half the images and examples as the other books. After about 1/2 an hour of reading through it I was done for good; whereas with the other books every time I open them I see something new that I didn't notice before. I was extremely disappointed with this book. I would not recommend it to anyone. And it shouldn't be called an "encyclopedia"-it only explains the MOST BASIC of scrapbooking techniques. I mean, it takes 4 pages just to show you how to tear paper!!! PLEASE don't waist your money on this-instead, try some of the other "Creating Keepsakes" books. This one is the worst of the bunch. All the other "Keepsakes" books I own or have read are terrific.

Hi, tons of information, nice large paperback, pictures, directions, how to, more. Happy with it. Nice reference. Read all the reviews, form your own opinion, this is an older book, but I like the older ones best seems! Anyway, have fun, this is a nice one! Enjoy! Leisure Arts, in my humble opinion, always offers up lovely books with nice detailed information in them, that can be utilized for many years.

The "Encyclopedia of Scrapbooking" book has it all. I was thrilled to purchase this book so that I would have ideas to create my own scrapbooks. I recommend purchasing a copy if you are looking for guidance too because there are a lot of tips and cool patterns to get you started.

Ich habe mir das Buch gekauft, um mehr über die Techniken des Scrapbookings zu erfahren. Die Strukturierung und Anleitungen des Buchs sind gut, und die Techniken sind durch Beispiele bebildert. Vor allem findet man viele, tolle Ideen und kreative Ansätze, so dass sich schon alleine deswegen der Kauf des Buches für mich gelohnt hat.

Very good ideas for me when I'm stuck.

Vor kurzem habe ich begonnen, mich mit Scrapbooking zu beschäftigen. Dieses Buch ist dafür wie geschaffen. Einfach und gut zu lesen und hunderte von Ideen. Mir war sehr wichtig, zu erfahren, welche Techniken und Möglichkeiten mir offenstehen. Da habe ich mit diesem Buch einen Volltreffer gelandet. Sehr zu empfehlen!!!!
