You rarely fail with Eric Carle. Idiscovered him after stumbling upon hisThe Very Hungry Caterpillar--a great book.We all must have it for children's library.Then I bought Do You Want to be My Friend,From Head to Toe and Brown Bear. All hisbooks are wonderful, I must say.In this book, the little mouse eventuallyfinds someone like him to play with. Carl mighthave given a rabbit or any other small animalas the mouse's friend. Yet, the way the twomice cuddle up in a burrow, I think theymake great friends.

My Baby loves this book. I bot it when she was 9 months or so.. but did not show her much.. as she loved other books.Now she is 14 months, and she recognizes more animals.. and hence loves this book. When I go through this book, she is always excited for the animal that comes next.I love her smile when I read this book to her!

This has be the best... guess who is the next animal and you can provide your own animated of telling this simple story in a delightful manner...

Once you pick an Eric carle for your child, it is hard to resist the other stories. I bought this one after introducing my son to 'the very hungry caterpillar'. The colourful collages and illustrations are very engaging for the child. Every page creates an interaction and a guessing game between the story reader and the child.

Great to help your child identify animals.
