Nice set
All you need to know is it’s Wüsthof. This grade is Classic. I’ve got knives from this collection I’ve used for over 30 years. I bought this as a starter set for my son. It’s a set of 3 items every serious chef needs in their block. This is a good price for an exceptional set of cutlery. I highly recommend.

A great deal for quality knives!
I have wanted the Wusthof 5” nikiri knife for some time, but I was hesitant about spending that much money for one knife. However, when I saw this offer of three knives, including that one for $130, I could not pass. I’m so glad I bought these knives. Their quality is really unsurpassed.

Rest in peace Calphalon knife set
Excellent knife! We've had a Calphalon knife set forever and my wife has never been all that impressed with them. Tons of different knives, but none of them perform that great in her opinion. I always thought they were ok but perhaps my judgement was skewed because they were a bit pricey. She recently went on and on about a knife that her mom has that slices everything from bread to meats to veggies with ease. Just one knife that does the work of many, she says. I wasn't ready to give up on those Calphalon knives that I spent a car payment on so I honed and sharpened them in hopes that she'd be happy with them. No dice! I seriously thought that they were sharp and ready for action but she said they're just not good enough. Dangit. I reluctantly caved and order the Wusthof. What can I say?...she was right. This thing is a champ. It puts any and all of the Calphalon knives to shame and it's not even close. She loves it!...I love it!...my mother-in-law loves it! This is the go-to everyday knife for us now. See ya, hate to be ya Calphalon!

beware, knives do cut!
Those knives do cut! I am a fan of Wusthof classic knives, not going to lie about it, and own a few. Wanted to add a few more and got a good price on the set while I already had the scissor I never used (could actually care less for it). So, yes the little Nakiri is fun to use and you want to watch your fingers when using it. the deli knife is definitely a weirder looking knife and will take me some time to get use to it but I like different so glad I now own it. Just looking forward already to get more and add to the collection. if you don't have any yet start with the chef knives, they are real solid animals...you will have no regrets.

Absolutely a super knife that makes slicing bread loaves a pleasure
Absolutely a super knife that makes slicing bread loaves a pleasure. Sadly the reason I bought the knife was to slice my favorite whole loaves of bread I bought at one of my local warehouse clubs that shall remain nameless here. They have quit selling the wonderful bread and have gone to making a far lesser offering in their place. The knife is still fantastic at the job for which it was made even if the bread available at the warehouse club is not any longer. Now I only need to find another line of bread that is up to the quality of my superb knife,

Quality even a 19 year old non cook appreciates!
I lost my 8 inch bread knife! Who does that? I've looked the house over and can only imagine, one of my three lovelies, has taken it to chop down bamboo. When I looked to replace it, I came across this knife and decided to give it a go. So far, I am thrilled with the performance of this knife. Of course the Wustof name comes with many expecations. It feels good in my hand and slices with perfection. My 19 year old, used it to slice summer sausage and was impressed with the striking shape, but even more with the ease of thinly slicing the meat.

Exceptional quality knives
Great quality and extremely sharp, I already had the kitchen shears and at that price for the whole set, the shears were basically free. The other two knives are outstanding, I use them all the time. Anyway, it's Wusthof need I say more...

great knives, scissors are nothing special
had to enlarge the slot in our kitchen knife block to fit the Offset Deli knife; the blade is quite "tall"

This is a classic! You need one of these!
This style of knife is hard to find. The moment you start using it you will see how quickly it becomes a main stay. Cutting breads and making sandwiches are where it starts. Many have said it is hard to sharpen. I recommend the spyderco sharpener. The triangles work well to sharpen this knife and serrated knifes in general. Love this knife. I have a few of them for where ever I am. A definite must buy!

Versatile
I believe this knife, or one very similar has been marketed as 'wunderknife' in the states. The design, at least for my needs is useful for much more than bread.I tend to use fairly high end Japanese knives for most things, but wanted something a little more robust for dealing with squashes, pumpkins and root vegetables. This is the perfect knife for that.I am a professional chef and find that most guys in my kitchens use the Wusthof Classic Super Slicer for everything; chiffonade of herbs, slicing onions, meat and terrines, but for me it is a little long at 27cm. This knife is a happy medium between the Slicer's versatility and more of a nimble utility/chef's knife. My only criticisms are htat the handle is a little small (I am tall with big hands though) and the bevel is entirely on one side which causes the knife to 'steer' a little bit when slicing. But, all in all, a great addition to my knife case.Recommended.
