Scratches Easily
I am disappointed these placemats did not hold up to use. Within a short time, the coating began wearing off, which was very obvious even though these are patterned. The scratches were so noticeable I had to throw them away. These placemats were not used in a household of children or young people. We are two seniors and are easy on our furnishings. Using a plate on this placemat should not make the coating flake off as it did. Buying these was a costly mistake.

Expensive but nice
Very attractive, although seem expensive for placemats. Perfect match for my decor so I bought. I love them, time will tell if they are durable.

Protective
It’s just me but I don’t like these. They’re sturdy and protective but guess am old fashioned and like the warmth of color and cloth. Nothing wrong with them.
