Cute Picture Book that Teaches about the Power of Teamwork!
I'm starting off this review by stating that I absolutely LOVE books. My five-and-a-half year old twins love books as well and we read together every single day, which has proven to be very beneficial to them in school. We read a lot of picture books and I was excited to see a children's picture book in this month's First Reads selections. I eagerly downloaded it and read it to my twins over breakfast.Eraser by Anna Kang is a cute story about the importance of teamwork and how we all need each other, which are some very important lessons kids can learn from at a young age. As we all know, erasers mostly clean up mistakes and the main character in this book, Eraser, feels left out because she never gets to create anything. After some misunderstandings and help from friends, Eraser learns that she is very important and she does more than just clean up messes. This book is considered a picture book and is 40 pages long. There are adorable, colorful illustrations that kids and parents can enjoy. As the new school year approaches, I found this book to be a really cute way for my kids to think about their school supplies and what they can do. With some help from parents, kids will understand some of the funny references made about the characters. I feel this book is good for ages four to seven and children younger and older may also enjoy it.We loaded this book onto my kids' Kindle Fires and it works perfectly. I also used the Kindle app on my Android phone and it works great there as well.Overall, we enjoyed this book and I'm sure we will read it again. I really liked the lessons on teamwork and how we all are important!

Absolutely ADORABLE!
I LOVE this story! It's cute and funny, the illustrations are beautiful, and the moral of the story is one that all children should be taught. I'm looking forward to having the staff of my tutoring program read this book to the students because I know they'll enjoy it.

Second chances and special roles for each of us
This cute book has two themes for the younger ones: 1) We each have a role to play; some to create, some to clean up or stay behind the scenes to support creativity; and 2) We all deserve second chances. Eraser is like a small kid who feels he's not as good as a pencil classmate because he can't create in the same way. He does create a lovely picture by rubbing his eraser, but an unfortunate sneeze by another classmate blows it away too quickly. And some of his classmates are kind of bullying; they think they're the only ones who are entitled to create. But, as luck would have it, a classmate makes some mistakes and forgets to check his homework. And only Eraser can get rid of the errors so the classmate can try again. Oh. Maybe they'll have to rethink the value of eraser after all. Good book that demonstrates the successful team of Kang and Weyant. The book is humorous and illustrator Weyant provides nice large pictures of familiar classroom tools with friendly faces that your kids will warm up to, plus just the right amount of cheerful colors.
