Classic Coffees Sundowner - Filter Coffee - 249 Grams

A perfect coffee for the evening. The Sundowner, although recommended to be brewed using a south Indian filter, works perfectly well using a drip machine or a french press if you get the quantity/temperature right.When had with milk, this coffee has a very unique chocolaty taste and reminds you of the Amul milk chocolates of the late 90s. Neither too bitter or overly sweet, just the right amount of richness and body. The Sundowner till date is the only coffee I would love to have with milk multiple times, it is that great a brew.When brewed black, using either a french press or drip coffee maker, the coffee still has a very good round body. It is a rather nice straight taste with notes of milk chocolate being the most prominent ones, you also get a slight hint of smokiness which is very much distinct but goes rather well with the milk chocolate note.Will definitely buy the Sundowner again. The coffee has perfect strength for someone who likes moderately strong coffee. Tastes delicious with milk and sugar, and would taste good without them too. It has quite apparent notes of chocolate.. you open the cupboard and you can smell the lovely aroma! It tastes reasonably good even some days after opening. Overall I’m very happy with the product.The shipment packing was minimal (but sufficient) and bit snug, so I accidentally punctured the coffee pack while opening the shipment, and had to start using the coffee immediately (which I’m glad I did!). Will have to be more careful while opening next time :)

I don't know how other reviewers are using this coffee...GROUND IS COARSER THAN IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE AND NOT SUITABLE FOR TRADITIONAL SOUTH INDIAN FILTER. The moment I pour hot water over the grounds it starts to drip and complete decoction has been collected within 45secs, not the case with other ground I have. But the package clearly states that this ground is suitable for traditional filter !!Coffee is WEAK, maybe more suitable to have it black over french-press.

Excellent coffee - soo aromatic and full of flavour. The best coffee which I tried in India so far.

It's an okayish coffee, quite strong flavor though, good quantity for the amount paid

Good after taste, not bitter, moderately strong, tastes good even without milk & sugar, better to be used with a south Indian filter

The taste is quite good and yes this coffee is best had with milk. I have it as a pourover and tastes well that way too.

Good packing.. Aroma of the coffee is awesome.. Bought this for my friend.. very fresh..
