Google it - well known issue with some ungrounded AC adapters. Very difficult to control mouse cursor, even with latest device driver. If I had known this, I would not have purchased.

In 2009, I purchase a refurb Sony VIAO. It has held up better than I expected. Last week, I plugged it in to charge. A few hours later I turned it on to do some updating of files. The thing was dead, totally dead, deader than door nail. The first thing I checked was my 11+ year old charger. Dead. I knew I needed to find a new charger for my old reliable laptop. Naturally I was worried that with the age of it, it might be impossible to find a replacement. Some reviews were conflicted, but the information on this charger matched the info on my old charger, so I took a chance. This item arrived quickly, like 2 days, earlier in the day than I expected, which was a plus. I plugged it in and it works perfectly. I am very happy with my purchase.
