Is this product a spray or an aerosol?

Hello RoseLu! This fixative is a spray pump that uses a fine mist finger sprayer. It is not packaged in a pressurized aerosol can because the necessary propellant required to eject the fixative may have an unforeseeable effect on pastels.

Could i use this in an airbrush to get a more finer mist and better coverage?

Does this product help in distress inks/sprays not smear?

Yes, it does, I've sprayed it over ballpoint pen and marker, it doesn't bleed

Can you use this on alcohol ink paintings as a varnish?

Try the SpectraFix Natural Glass. I works wonderfully with Alcohol Inks.
