Sweetener

Sis, when I got this album. It was like the LORD had blessed me and the entire house. Amazon came through with the nice packaging and all that. I really appreciate it. Of course, I listen to the album every day. But I’m not the best of the best when it comes to “stanning” . But anyway, people should buy this album if they genuinely like it. Don’t succumb to peer pressure or any of that. It’s an amazing album, for me personally, and the album itself is really nice to touch.

In her newest album, "Sweetener," Grande delivers a newer and more intimate sound that signals a positive stylistic transition into a new, more colorful era. Grande addresses topics such as anxiety, her love life, and (more subtly) her struggles after the attack in Manchester. Teaming up with Pharrell Williams (blazed), Nicki Minaj (the light is coming), and Missy Elliott (borderline), Grande also proves once again that when it comes to collaboration, she packs a punch. Highlights from the album include "blazed," "R.E.M.," "everytime," "breathin," and "goodnight n go." Overall, everyone will find something to love on this record.

Sweetener is a work of art. I would even go as far as to say it's a masterpiece. (Light version of Xtina's "Stripped") I should start by saying that if you're expecting another "Dangerous Woman, " this isn't it. Considering all that she has been through since her last album, it is a different body of work, but still 100% Ariana at this stage in her life. Some of the songs take a few plays to get into...because they are very experimental sounding songs. After a full album listen, you will be in a completely different state of mind. It's very soothing and totally worth the listen. I love Sweetener. I don't skip a single song.

Outside of the 2 hits on this album, the rest could have been all one long lazy song. "My Everything" and "Dangerous Woman" were great, but I don't even know what this is. Safe and Lazy album with Arianna's cooing, you can listen to it, but is quite disappointing.

Audiophile review here...I gave this 4/5 stars because I did not fully like this vinyl pressing and master. The best part of this master is that it is obviously not brickwalled (hyper compressed and clipped audio) by the loudness wars that begun after c. 1995. I can hear new details that were drowned out by the loudness in the digital masters (CD, Tidal MQA, Amazon Ultra HD, MP3s, etc). There's tiny details that come to life with this mix, and I highly appreciate them.I did not like that this pressing had many clicks, pops, and tearing hisses especially in 'i' and 's' sounds/pronunciations. It was worse on side 1 and 2 (first vinyl). The second vinyl was much quieter. The audio in this mix seems to be mastered in a sub-par manner which deafens frequencies above 16-18 KHz. I possibly attribute this to being a foreign UK pressing by Polydor Records, or an inadequate RIAA equalization curve applied (some alternative variant?). I have seen this issue in previous Vinyl records from the UK like Adele's 25. USA pressed Vinyl records seem to have the best mastering and pressing technique nowdays. I picked up Kelly Clarkson's Breakaway in Gold Vinyl from Urban Outfitters and it has the best pressing I've heard to date, all frequencies are resonant up to 30KHz as seen in a frequency spectrometer. I purchased thank u, next here on Vinyl in the black album format (not from Target). I now fear this Vinyl will have these similar mastering issues, so I'll have to get the Target (hopefully USA Pressing) version just to compare. This Vinyl was available from Urban Outfitters but I'm not sure where that version was pressed and mastered.On the music, it is 10/10. Many have bashed Pharrell's involvement in this album, but he did a great job. The vocals and sound elements are as expected from Ariana, nothing to complain on that. no tears left to cry, God is a woman and breathin were 3 brilliant singles... but they are literally the stand out tracks of this album. the rest of the album is just littered with mediocre, bland, forgettable filler, none of which will ever be remembered as Ariana's best album tracks, such as My Everything, Be Alright, Greedy, Touch It. this album is missable, you only need the 3 singles

My daughter loves all these songs and you can tell Ariana really put some effort into this. I love how it’s a bit of a fantasy world but still with downs and bad reality in (like being famous). I like how she shows the bright side of Pete Davidson - even if I don’t really like him. She’s so sweet and thoughtful. With the song ‘get well soon’ she puts emotion in this song and it’s a great song. Proud of you Ari. (Plus thank you, next is a great album too.)

Great CD/Album from a singer with an amazing voice. Also what she did after her Manchester concert arranging the concert at old Trafford a week later was so special. Made me buy all her albums and I always will. Fabulous :-)

I love this album. It was highly anticipated given the break Ariana took after the Manchester events.It's a beautiful album that you can hear she put a lot of work and her heart into. I prefer a more upbeat album myself, but I still love this and take fun in 'blazed' 'the light is coming' and 'no tears left to cry'. A very mature theme and would reccomend.

Very good item! The sound is awesome and it has a gatefold sleeve!
