Updated review: A great coat for an unbelievable price!
I have this coat and have enjoyed it for a few years. It was on Oprah's Favorites List so I took a chance. It is a favorite coat to wear in the winter as it is warm and has a lot of convenient pockets. When this Amazon Prime Sale began, I decided to get one of these coats for my young adult daughter. It arrived and is NOT the same at all. First of the outside is of great quality so that isn't the issue. It is good looking as it has always been. What is horrible is that the fill power down/feather is not as promised. There is hardly any fill and it is not consistent. When I mean hardly any, I mean that the coat is literally flat and not and has about a 2 in puffiness if you were using a 1-10 as a measure. Sure the price was great but for the way they made them-NOT AS PROMISED. I am done with these companies that have a hit and then pull back on the quality as the item still is selling like hotcakes based on past reviews. This is common on Amazon and I am sorry to say usually products from one particular country.UPDATE: I returned the coat and reordered for a smaller size. I also had contact with Orolay customer service. Since they didn't accept an exchange they made sure that when I reordered that I got the same low price as was offered to me during the Prime sale. They also were concerned that I was unhappy with the first one sent to me. I have to say that the replacement is much more full with feathers than the first one. Once it is removed from the packing bag it is necessary to puff it up since it has been flattened. It resembles the one I ordered a few years ago but with a small exception. They could improve it with a bit more fill on the back just above the bottom. I think it needs more filling for the warmth this coat promises. The fabric and construction are excellent. The pockets have always been placed too high on the sides but that is something one can adapt to. The zipper as is typical is a bit tight so I always use something to make it move more smoothly. I would honestly say this is a great bargain. I have seen so many of these coats out and about. Lots of women who are pregnant say they bought it due to all the ability to let it out without alterations. There are side zippers and front snaps that open it up. Very versatile!

it's incredibly warm and has a stylish design
it's incredibly warm and has a stylish design that young adults love. However, it does have a couple of drawbacks. Firstly, the jacket is a bit heavy, which may not be ideal for everyone. Secondly, there are too many zippers, making the overall design a bit excessive and adding unnecessary weight to the garment. Despite these minor downsides, I am overall satisfied with the jacket's warmth and fashionable appearance. It's a great choice for staying cozy and stylish in colder weather!

Attractive and warm
Nice warm coat. Stylish for a winter coat too, which isn’t that common. My only complaint is that the down isn’t very thick at the elbows and backs of the arms. I don’t know how warm it would be over long periods of time outdoors. It’s good for running errands in Wisconsin winter though.

High-end coat
Nice detailing, true to size. (Amazon told me to get the XL and it was huge. I normally wear a large and the large is comfortable with a sweatshirt.) This is a heavy coat, like a Lambeau field in January coat. But it also, at least in the black, is actually slenderizing and easy to move around in, unlike a lot of parkas. Wait til the holiday sales when it's $99 vs $149.

Arms Are Tight
I would size up if tight arms bother you. I should have purchased an XL. I won’t be able to wear anything more than a t shirt under this coat.

Comfy, stylish, warm, and affordable
2021 update — loved my old jacket so much that I decided after 2 1/2 years to buy another one. Then they went on sale, so I bought two! They arrived quickly packed in little bags to compress and protect them. There are a few differences from my old one. Sizing seems more accurate. I previously sized up, but the coat still felt a little skimpy in the arms and at the hip. These are the same size but much roomier. Not sure if the old one was sized incorrectly, or if they’ve adjusted due to customer feedback. These will be far more comfortable and leave room for a bulky sweater or a wool jacket underneath. I was thinking of returning them for my usual size since these seem a bit puffier due to added material and the front zippers are a bit more prominent, but I think these will be a lot better for commuting … I no longer need to unzip the sides to sit down. The other differences I noticed were these have a silver and black interior at the back so the lining isn’t all orange anymore … and in the navy blue one, the orange fabric lining is stamped Orolay all over— Perhaps this is an anti counterfeit measure? The red one has the same black with silver dot section of lining, but the orange part is logo-less. Speaking of logos, the navy coat also has an Orolay logo on the sleeve ( the red one and my old black one do not). I’m not a fan of clothing with obvious logos, but this is fairly discreet and not a deal breaker. I’m guessing the red coat I got was older stock and the blue one is newer —or it’s possible the navy one is a fake. Stamping Orolay all over might be overcompensation! The collar label is completely different and it doesn’t have a catchy saying on it like the other ones do…it just says “Made in China.” It would be interesting to hear from the manufacturer when/if this change in design occurred. Another difference is the new ones both have an interior chest pocket. All said, I think these are great coats. Hoping I get as much wear and enjoyment from them as I did from my original. I’d be curious to know how to brighten up the “fleece” hood lining without washing the full garment — I doubt it would survive our washing machines, but compared to the new ones, it looks a bit dingy. All said, I’d give these coats an enthusiastic thumbs up. Old review follows, below:Love the jacket's styling and the construction seems sturdy. Very comfortable and warm when it's cold outside, but still wearable indoors while shopping or in milder spring weather. I didn't feel overheated ( but did need to unzip!) The down seems well distributed, and so far it hasn't been coming out. the parachute-like cloth exterior seems sturdy, and I really like the orange lining. Some stitching seemed a bit loose and one snap seemed fragile, but I generally think it's well made. I really like the look of the big hood as a wide collar, and the pockets are handy. I sized up and it fits fine, tho I wish it were a few inches longer. ( it hits me just below the thigh at front, but it's about 2 inches longer in the back, so wearing leggings is still an option. . It feels much less bulky than other down jackets I've owned -much narrower in the arms and shoulders so it gives less of a "Michelin man" round silhouette. It hangs very nicely as an open jacket. When zipped up It feels a bit snug at the hip for me, but the extra zippers at the side can be opened for a slightly looser fit. Suggest buyers go up one or two sizes, depending on whether or not you plan to wear bulky clothing, especially jackets or sweaters, underneath, or if you prefer a loose fit. As others have said, the zippers are a little sticky, and there are some weird ribbons (zipper pulls?) that dangle. Not sure how long they'll last. But otherwise, I'm very pleased with it. I've already gotten several compliments- and several people I know are planning to get one ( or one in a similar style). Price point makes this a no brainer- if you're on the fence, just buy it! You will definitely enjoy it. And at the rate this winter has been going, you may be able to wear it until May!

Wonderful Jacket!
This jacket is so comforting and warm, when I put it on it is like wrapping myself in a wonderful bubble. It comes with many pockets to store things, and it has many areas that you can cinch up, so you can expand the size of it as you need it. A wonderful design, and I expect to have this jacket for many years.

Comodissimo e caldissimo
