WARN 61853 Rock Crawler Front Bumper for Jeep Wrangler (1997-2006)

The metal this bumper is made from must be 4 or 5 times as thick as the stock bumper. It won't bend! Would have given it 5 stars except they only drilled one hole for the fog lamps, which require two each. Fit is perfect and all of the holes line up with the vehicle mounting locations. Can't imagine a better bumper than this! Can also get an optional brush guard -- maybe later!If you are wondering about a bumper, this is it. If you rock crawl, get the narrow one. For street or beach, get the wide one. Both are fantastic.

I wanted a compact and slim bumper that didn't stick out a lot, but did stick out to the sides enough that the bumper would hit a rock before my fender hit it. I also wanted mounting holes for driving lights in a convenient place, d-ring shackle mounts, and a way to mount a winch. This bumper gave me everything I wanted -- it's a simple bumper, and does exactly what it's supposed to do without being bigger than it needs to be. Hint for using a hi-lift jack with this bumper: Stick the nose into your d-rings. The bottom *is* a bit slippery, and it'll slide right off a hi-lift otherwise (of course, if you're trying to pick up your Jeep and push it sideways to get it off a rock, that might be exactly what you want...).Note: The Warn winch mounting plate does *not* come with this bumper, you'll need to buy it separately. No big deal, it allows you to build your Jeep in stages without having a winch mount you don't need taking up space in front of your Jeep, then buy the mounting plate at the same time you buy your winch. Also, the sides do stick out far enough that you might have trouble with super-big tires hitting the bumper at full flex. 35" tires have no problem though and the sides are curved and smooth so it shouldn't hurt anything even if a bigger tire does manage to hit the bumper.

Warn rock crawler bumpers are very well built and look great. All the mounting holes lined up and install was easy. You will have to reuse your old bolts 4 on top 2 on bottom. I would recommend a little anti seize on the bolt threads. Although the paint seemed good from Warn, I did a light sanding then used rust oleum textured paint as a base and top coat with matte black to match my rear bumper and side steps.

This is a fantastic product by a reputable company at a good price.The bumper is well built and attractive. The coating seems to be high quality. I know there have been complaints about the quality of Warn coating in the past, but the finish seems to be just fine. It's an evenly applied and satisfying black gloss.Installation is easy. You'll need a T-55 Torx bit and some strength, depending on how much rust your TJ has. Perhaps the more difficult part of the installation is releasing the stock fog lamps' wire harnesses--get a pair of pliars! You won't be able to replace your stock fog lamps immediately, due to the construction of the stock fog light mount. The bumper provides drilled holes for your to mount lights.Ultimately, the Warn front bumper has the tough look I love and appears to have the craftsmanship to last. Good buy.

Very happy. Fit and finish are great on my tj wrangler. Easy install. Does not come with d-rings, but the description was very clear on this.

I really liked the product when it was installed. It was very easy to install and seemed heavy duty. I had read on some of the Jeep forums that some people had been in accidents were this bumper saved their Jeep. All in all, I would probably buy this for another Jeep.

Bought the Warn bumper on reputation. It looked good out of the box, but I didn't notice a section about the size of 2 postage stamps on the top where the powder coat was poorly covered. Sigh... If I didn't have to remove it, pay return shipping, I'd not keep it. Very disappointed in the finish.

I wanted to replace my stock bumpers with these for a more simplier look but sturdier feel. I thought these were going to be a pain to install but it was very easy to do. It uses the stock holes but if you want to feel reinforced with the install you will have to drill a few holes through the stock frame. The only downside is there are holes for the license plate but it just doesn't work right.Overall great product!
