First Impressions: A Novel

Not a bad book characters you could identify with, romance and mystery thrown for good measure. Would recommend for most readers

It's too bad that no one - including various reviewers - bothered to mention that the book is a reprint of the original, which was published in 2005. Slap a new cover on it; "forget" to mention the original publication date in the book information, and if any reviewer should happen to mention it, make sure that review finds its way to the bottom of the list, which most people never get to. Should I say repeat sales?

What a convoluted sequence of events! Eden's life was certainly filled with trials and tribulations! And it was a surprise to know the culprits. So many angles that concluded to one same person with different outcomes. I certainly enjoyed the mystery & the suspense.

I've been a Jude Deveraux fan since reading The Black Lyon. This book didn't meet her usually high standard. Eden Palmer should have been a great character, but some of her introspection (and there was much too much of that) and her reactions I found at odds, which is unlike Ms. Deveraux. I've loved so many of her books, but his was a disappointment. The book is long. It could have been edited down by one hundred pages and have been a tighter faster read.
