60% Laurel Oil Soap

I found out about Aleppo soap on social media, and now I love this soap so much. It gets me truly clean without being drying. It’s gentle on my skin and has never caused any irritation anywhere. It doesn’t leave any weird slippery residue on my skin. The ingredients are simple and natural. It’s got a slight, natural, sort of botanical scent - I know that’s not for everyone but I find it very pleasant and now I associate it with feeling clean. One bar lasts me more than 4 months, so this ends up being extremely economical. I keep it hanging up in my shower inside a natural fiber mesh scrubby bag, and I rinse it well after each use. If you’ve never tried Aleppo soap, I cannot recommend it highly enough!

My birthday is coming up and I asked my boyfriend to get me the Oud & Amber scented Soap because we both love amber and I've been obsessed with Oud since I was a child. To put in perspective of how strong of a scent it is as a warning, we're currently experiencing hurricane weather in NC and I trudged down my driveway in strong wind and rain to get to my mailbox. The second I opened my mailbox I was instantly hit in the face with Oud, through the sealed plastic package! I thought oh poor Amazon driver, they probably couldn't deliver it fast enough because it probably scented the inside of their vehicle! The bar is a decently big size, it's lather is average which didn't bother me, and my skin feels soft, smooth, and moisturized. The scent is strong but heavenly if you love Oud as much as I do. My partner says I smell like incense or "a hippie shop" which, goals. 10/10! Will repurchase again

I have no idea what I was expecting. But I don’t feel impressed. Not unimpressed either. I feel as though Aleppo soap is one of those products that get swept up by the sensationalism that social media creates around it. When in reality, it’s just a practical product with an ancient origin. The fact that it’s older does not make it better and the fact that it’s more “natural” doesn’t make it more effective. I like that it doesn’t have any artificial fragrances, which I know can be an allergen for many people. I like that it comes with a lot of soap. I like how silky the ladder feels. And I like that it has olive oil because olive oil is generally good for the skin. I’ve been using it for a couple of days now. And I definitely think it gets the job done. Is it amazing? Eh. I think that’s too strong of a word. is it bad? Definitely not. As far as whether it works for acne prone skin, I’ve been washing my face with the suds that the soap creates for a couple of days now and I’m definitely getting more acne than I normally do but that’s completely normal. It’s called the purging phase. But also the natural hormonal shifts that the body goes through. Purging happens with a lot of acne treatments. This is most certainly not an acne treatment, but it has antibacterial properties. Definitely do not use it on your face every single day. This is mainly for the body.

I was a little skeptical when my sister in law told me about this soap. It smells a little musty. But let me tell you I’m a wedding photographer and in the summer when I’m outside in the heat all day I get so smelly and stinky! Well I’ve been using this soap for about 6 weeks. I took a huge risk and decided to really test this soap- I had a wedding in 92 degree weather, used only my organic deodorant. I sweated a TON and did not smell at all! Prior to this soap I would have smelled awful after being in the sun running around all day. This stuff really works and I can have peace of mind knowing the ingredients are what they say they are!

Guys. Literally the best soap I've ever used. I've tried so many "natural" soaps over the years. This aleppo soap brings such a beautiful glow to my body and face. Makes my skin soft-- helps with body odor too!! (One other customer mentioned this and she was right! When I take my night showers I dont apply deodorant and the next day I dont experince a foul soul even with sweat. I also wear aluminum deodorant). I see why cleopatra loved this soap. Cannot wait to buy more!!

So, you know how a closed garage full of fuel, auto parts and lawn tools smells? That's what this smells like. At first I convinced myself it just smelled earthy but I legitimately smelled a gasoline smell as I used more of the soap. Threw it out, won't buy again. It did lather well though.

This is one of the best natural soaps I’ve ever tried. The laurel oil gives it a wonderful clean scent, and the olive oil keeps my skin soft and moisturized. It doesn’t irritate the skin at all, and it lasts a long time. Excellent product for everyday use!

It is absolutely phenomenal soap. Possibly the best you can get on Amazon. My only gripe with it is that it is such a large heavy bar. It feels like shampooing my hair with a brick. It is also so solid it cannot be cut with a knife into smaller pieces. But yeah if you want some of the best soap in the entire world get this stuff. It is significantly better than any palm oil based soaps (i.e. most "premium" soaps manufactured in the west).
