A Rash Guard, also known as rash vest or rashie, is a type of water wear, an athletic shirt made of Spandex and Lycra nylon. The name Rash Guard reflects the fact that the shirt protects the wearer against rashes caused by abrasion. These shirts can be worn by themselves, or under a wetsuit. The use of Lycra and Spandex create a garment that is lightweight, quick drying, flexible, durable, naturally antibacterial and water wicking. Other important components of a rash guard include flatlock stitching, and a ten panel construction. Ten panel construction versus the conventional 4 panel tee shirt construction enables the user increased mobility wet or dry. Rash Guards also offer protection from the sun (measured by its Ultraviolet Protection Factor), the Waterproof Rash Guard offer a 50% UV protection factor.

Perfect if you use the size chart on Waterproof's site
This is a really nice skin. Make sure you go to waterproof's website to see the size chart. (I used the ladies wetsuit chart.) If you get the right fit, you'll love it. The neck has very little stretch, so if you get a size that's too small, your head won't fit.I'm 5'7 and normally wear XS or S shirts in street clothes. I ordered the Medium based on the size chart. It fits perfect, like a second skin. All the measurements are right for me. The sleeves come down to cover my wrists and still cover them if I extend my arms. (A lot of the other skin shirts I tried on had sleeves that were way too short.) The length is down to my hips and and does not ride up when I sit down. It hugs my chest, stomach, and hips. It fits me exactly like on the stock photo: some wrinkling in the arm pits and it's just a little looser than skin-tight on the arms. If you want it to fit looser than the stock photo, get a size larger than what the size chart recommends.I will say that I have to push my head in through the neck hole. This is not a fault of the shirt. It wouldn't fit as well if it were any looser. I have long hair, so putting it on or taking it off means I'll need to re-do my pony tail. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. Also, I feel the neckline at the base of my neck. It's not choking me and it's not too tight, but it's there, hugging my neck. It's a lot like wearing a choker necklace. That feeling may bother some people. If wearing turtlenecks doesn't bother you, you'll be fine.

Works good for keeping sun rays off while kayaking
Not waterproof. Does not keep u warmer in cooler waters. Works good for keeping sun rays off while kayaking. Was not as it said it would be.

Very didappointed with the size of this shirt. All my other rash guard shirts are mediums. This one I couldnt even pull over my head. And I had to pay to return it!

Good purchase however
Actually thought it would have been loose fitted since i normally wear size L-XL but purchase 2XL which fits close but not too close. Haven't worn it to sea as yet so will provide update on protection and warmth

Great shirt for all water sports!
Great shirt. Fits tight so keep that in mind when deciding on size. But it fits snugly when wet so it does not get in your way.

My favorite rash guard. Good value and looks great.
I've been thru 2 of these and they are the best for the money. Cheaper options out there but these last the longest and I've gotten compliments with how cool they look. I use them for my swimming lessons and they work as well as any rashie if not better. Haven't seen any better out there.

Would buy from them again
Dive skin was exactly as advertised. The sizing sheet provided useful insight or what to order, and the buying experience and delivery of the product was proably as good as it can be.
