Very solid well made brass valves
I needed a couple of very dependable water valves on a hose inside the house so they had to be brass, not cheap plastic. These valves are built like tanks. Very well made, very sturdy, and very heavy. They work well, no dripping or leaks when I tested them, and they would have been easy to install except for my specific situation.I used two of these valves to build a Y-Junction in my hose to my washer and dryer - I wanted to be able to shut one down without shutting the other down. I ran into some unexpected issues: 1) The brass Y and two brass valves were very heavy to have hanging down from the wall water pipe so I ended up using an S-hook to hang the assembly on keeping the weight off of the pipe junction. These valves are heavy. 2) The cutoff levers of the brass valves prevented them from attaching to the Y-Junction - this was easily solved by taking out the screw that holds the level onto the valve and turning it around. THANK YOU Summerland! I would have been in trouble if they hadn't designed the valve so that one could reverse the lever.Repeated testing has demonstrated that these valves are shutting off the water 100% - no dripping or leaking. - kind of important to my situation.

Works great
Heavy duty indeed! These have some heft to them and are just what we were looking for. Leak-free in closed position, and do not impede water flow in the open position. Excellent product, easy to operate, and super handy when you need to switch watering wands and don't want to hike back to the faucet shutoff each time.

Nice shutoff but...
These are nice heavy duty full flow shutoffs, the only issue is there is no way to control the location of the handle, in my case after screwing it on the handle was in the back which makes it somewhat difficult to switch on and off, and with a stucco house you'll scrape your hand every time you put it back there to turn the handle.

This is the one to buy
Price was right, They cost more but are likely to last forever. They have a larger center bore or ID - about 1/2 inch than almost all of the rest with the big handle. Most of these have a center bore or ID around 3/8 inch, which gives about 1/3 of the flow area (compare the ratio of the radius's, squared) . Plus - the seller included 10 new hose washers with the valves!Look closely at the pictures showing the open end of the listed valves. You can see how large the bore is (isn't) with almost all of them. Compare the bore against the washer size in the pictures. The shutoff valves with the small handles all seem to break or lose the handle attaching screw prematurely. I've been buying them for years and I have a bucket-full of good shutoff valves with no handles or broken handles..

May need adjustment
Very nice valves. Ridiculously substantial. Some of the ones I received were so tight I could not move the lever without a tool. However, it seems that the nylock nut had been overtightened. Just backing it off a little restored normal operation. Would buy again as the large opening for water flow allowed much more water flow than the ones I have with smaller openings.

Works great
One drawback, it leaks a little until you get it broke in. It doesn't form a perfect seal around the ball. When first installed it leaked a little around the ball, but after the plastic has a day or two to conform the leaking stops. Heavily made and the longer handle makes it very easy to operate. I love it.

Started leaking after 2 weeks. Fell apart completely after three weeks of home use. Do not buy!
I loved the heavy duty look.I loved the long levers.Used them on regular city water for a week and they got really stiff. After 2 weeks they started leaking. The teflon guts inside the valve got loose and don't close completely. A little stream of water jets out when they are closed. When I disconnected the hose, the whole thing fell apart. The ball and teflon socket just fell out.I bought 2 and both of them did the same thing so it was not a "one off" situation. This product is useless.

Well built & sturdy, but drips, drips, drips.
These valves are very well built and the lever to open and shut them moves easily, but over time they did start to drip which got to be quite annoying. I tried using silicon grease but that did not stop the drip. If you could live with a drip drip drip it's a good choice.
