So much better than a walk-in tub
This is a marvelous product. I’ve been using it for over a year to help my elderly mother take a bath. I no longer have to worry about her falling as she gets into or out of a bathtub. My mother has the early stages of dementia and so she doesn’t do real well following instructions. The control unit is so basic and easy to understand That she can easily lower herself into the tub and raise it again when it’s time to get out. It comes apart easily and it’s not very heavy so I would hesitate to call it robust. But I weigh 250 pounds and I tested it thoroughly before I ever let my mother use it.Before purchasing, I watched videos of bath chairs like this where people were taking the chair into another room where someone had fallen. That’s the feature that really sold me on it. I’m getting to an age where I don’t know that I could help my mother out of the floor. With this chair I definitely could.

So helpful
This is the best chair I have ever bought. I have difficulty getting out of the bathtub. I don’t have a lot of strength in my hands to push me up out of the tub. This chair has been the best purchase I have ever made. It stays charged up for almost a week before you need to recharge the controller. Just a little advice. Make sure you flip it over about once a week and clean the bottom of it because it does collect debris from your bathwater and I have scrubbed black mold off of the bottom. So just make sure you clean it thoroughly from top to bottom.

Great for Senoirs
I have lost my upper body strength for helping myself get out of the bath tub. when I got eczema and needed to soak it was in trouble with out being able to use my tub. when I found this super product , its been a answer to my prayer. it works like a total dream and it feels very reliable. I have not fear it of being stuck in the tub ever again.. its sits nice and high for being able to to just stand up in the tub and , there is enough room for me to turn around and get out of the side of the tub while standing up. I highly recommend this wonder chair lift for any one who might be thinking they need a walk in tub... this is far far better plan ,, and i get my self totally submerged . I am 5ft6 ,weight a little over 200 lbs and it does the job just lovely. I did cover it will a yoga mat as another suggested , due to the flimsy seat cover that is included..

Glad to be bathing again
I am a 49 year old woman with a mild from of muscular dystrophy. Not mild enough as I get older though. I now have a very hard time getting out the tub. I love taking long, hot baths in winter and reading my Kindle. So to give that up made me really upset. I knew there had to be a work around. I found this lift. It works great and I am so delighted to be bathing again independently and with peace of mind.My only reason for not giving it a 5 star is the instructions were awful. Assembling the suction cups doesn't need to be so difficult if the manual just explained it properly! Took a while for us to figure it out but when we did it wasn't so hard. You just have to really shimmy the base back and forth until it is snuggly in the top of the hold, then the other plug thing fits easily. The video on youtube helped but it really glossed over the suction assembly. I also would have preferred this in white or gray but it was much more expensive or unavailable. All in all though, I am thrilled with this item and would recommend it to others!

best gift to myself in the last few years
I am 5 ft 5 in tall. I have a plain soaker tub, a little taller than a regular tub for children.I have been unable to take a bath since my second knee replacement several years ago. I bought this after looking at bath lifts for a few yrs and pulled the plug a week ago. Sooo glad that I got this one. It is easy for this 67 yo female to put together and charge up. In a few hours, I was soaking in my first bath with Dr. Teal foaming Epson Salt bathworks. I felt like I was in a spa!! I have had the lift for a week and have used it daily. I am the only one using the bathroom, so I leave the lift in the tub all the time. The directions were very clear. The lift is very sturdy, and I wish that i had ordered it a few years ago. I have always loved bathing; showers are ok, but a nice relaxing tub bath is the best for me. If you are on the fence and have a tub , do not hesitate.
