Disney Princess Dress Up Trunk (Amazon Exclusive)

I bought this for my 3 year old daughter for Christmas 2014. She loves it. Yes, the quality is very low--the fabrics are extremely thin, snag easily, etc. etc. but you just cannot beat the price. I looked extensively at the more expensive ones in the stores (Target, Toys R Us, the actual Disney Store, department stores) and they are triple/quadruple the price if you buy the costumes individually. Average price for ONE of the princess costumes were anywhere from $20 to $100+. My daughter changes in and out of these costumes on a daily basis, by herself, and runs around the house playing while wearing them all day long. I don't have to worry about her wearing them out, staining them, snagging them, etc because they were so cheap. She enjoys them just the same as if I had bought the outfits for $50 each. And actually they have held up well so far, considering she wears them every. single. day. Yes, they have snags and some loose threads but she could care less! This (and the Frozen dress up trunk I bought as well) were both well worth the money.

I received this item yesterday for a Christmas present for a 6 year old. I saw a lot of bad reviews saying that that trunk was smashed upon delivery. My trunk was not smashed, but it was in a large box with several other things so maybe that's why. I saw some other bad reviews saying that the dresses were poorly made. I thought all of the dresses looked fine and well put together. Any of the Disney dress costumes you find at Target or Toys R Us are not premium quality, they are costumes for young kids to play with. One Disney princess dress is $30 at Toys R Us, so I liked that this trunk for the same price will not only let her be 4 different princesses, but let her mix and match and be creative. I'm sure this will be her favorite Christmas present this year.

Bought this as a "no special occasion" gift for my very tall 2-year old granddaughter. She saw the older grandchildren playing dress up and wanted her own costumes. At age 2, no one in their right mind wants to spend too much money on a costume that will most likely not last very long because they grow so fast. She absolutely loves the costumes. She goes to her trunk EVERY DAY and dresses as a princess. It is true that the quality is not great . . . the items are very cheaply made (similar quality to inexpensive Halloween costumes), and the jewelry is chap plastic; but at this price she has several princess outfits for a good overall price. The two piece design enables her to put on her costumes by herself, and she only needs help with the Velcro back to the tops. I wash them by hand or on the gentle cycle, and hang them to dry. When I see her smiles as she dresses up, I feel this box was worth every penny!

I ordered this for my daughter's 4th birthday. When it arrived everything inside was in little clear bags which I didn't want to disturb. I thought bday girl would have fun looking at each.My daughter adores this little set and she spends most of the day switching between the outfits. They are adorable and the jewelry that comes with it is the perfect little touch. The box is even cute and when treated with care, works perfectly to keep the items in all the time.My only problem with it is that every single one of the tops open and close with little pieces of Velcro on the back. If they were just costumes, okay understandable. But these are for little girls to play dress up and my daughter literally HATES asking for help. With anything.She has gotten so mad and frustrated because she can't quite put these on by herself. After several fits of frustration I finally found a way to keep the peace (she keeps a white tank top in the box as well and wears it with the tops pulled over, left open at the back.)With all that said...the material is a little cheap and once the plastic is out the box seems a little...well empty. BUT my daughter still loves the set, it keeps her entertained for hours, and with it only being $25 I don't feel like I was ripped off at all. I am actually in the process of making some cute slip on dresses to add to the box.I would recommend this to any that have a little princess who maybe doesn't get as frustrated as mine. Would be perfect for a grandparent to get and keep around the house for when a granddaughter visits!*OH Oh*I forgot to talk about the sizes of the tops and skirts. Here they say fits '4- 6x' but I want to caution you! My daughter while she just turned 4 years, is a teeny tiny thing. On a normal day she wears size 24mons or 2T and they are big on her. Pants constantly falling, shoulders poking out of shirts, etc. The skirts in this set fit her just right and the tops are a little loose but not much. The skirts can stretch out quite a bit, but I have my doubts about it fitting '4-6x'.

I had read several reviews about other princess dress up sets being too small for their kids. This particular set worked out GREAT for my tall three year old toddler (who is in a princess phase). She wears a 4T to 5 in normal clothes and is approximately 32 pounds and 40" tall.There are three tops (they Velcro in the back), three skirts (with elastic) along with headbands and "jewelry". Almost all of the jewelry was too big but that is ok. I like the fact that you can match characters up together (Snow White, Cinderella etc) or mix and match the items (since it is two pieces).The "trunk" that comes with it is actually cardboard. Nothing fancy at all... like a shoe box but bigger. It might last a little while but I am not expecting it to! But everything does fit in nicely so it is great to store all the gear.We added our own "shoes" and tiaras to the mix so it was perfect for the princess "party". For under $30 you get three outfits. Not too bad. This would make a really nice gift for a little girl.

Obviously not high quality but you should expect that for the price. Perfect for dress up

My niece's loved it. Immediately started playing with the gift. They are twins and there is enough in box that no fighting occured. Only negative they need help to get dressed in tops of outfits. I thought 2 piece would be easy but velcros at back so they found that a bit tricky at 4.
