Praying the Promises: Anchor Your Life to Unshakable Hope Hardcover – August 7, 2018

I love this book of praying promises. It has helped me Thu a difficult time in my life. After being diagnosed with an incurable auto immune disease, I have listened to audible of this book at night while laying in bed. I have read the book and quoted the scriptures over my body & mind. As I am taking treatment for this disease, the side effects are terrible.. BUT I have hope in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I will continue to read and listen to the audible of this book. It's encouraged me.

Reading this book gives hope to the hopeless. It's encouraging and uplifting. The author reminds us that no matter how bad our situation is or appears to be, there's always hope. Jesus is the anchor that we're to attach ourselves to. He will never leave us nor forsakes us. He stands on His word and if we do the same (stand on His word ) our hope will be UNSHAKABLE!!! In Jesus' name Amen.

Max & Andrea Lucado bring God’s Word alive in a delightful & meaningful way.This is my third time reading this book & I will do it again. It is timeless.

This book has helped understand how to pray the unbreakable promises of God.I am so blessed and my soul feels satisfied.

It is a resource you would use yourself and/or give to someone going through a challenging season of life.The book contains 30 of Max Lucado’s favorite promises in Scripture. As he explains,After forty years of ministry, I’ve discovered that nothing lifts the weary soul like the promises of God. This book contains some of my favorites. Many of them are go-to promises I’ve turned to throughout the years to encourage others—and to encourage myself.Each of the 30 chapters follows a similar format. It begins with a title page containing one verse of Scripture. The first one is “God had made a covenant with you” and the verse is 2 Peter 1:4. There is a one-page devotional thought, “Unshakeable Hope,” followed by four verses of Scripture from both the Old and New Testaments. This is followed by a suggested prayer, “Praying God’s Promises.” Lastly, there is a statement of application, “I Am …” or “I Will …”The purpose of the book is stated on the inside dust cover, “For every problem in life, God has given us a promise. We can find hope by praying those promises.”While it is a good resource, it is very similar to many others on the market. Praying God’s Promises is beautifully written. It is anchored in God’s word and is a wonderful resource for deepening one’s prayer life.

This is a great Bible study.

This book was a gift to me and my husband , truly helped get us through months of recovery from Covid ! We purchased copies to mail to friends trusting that they too will be inspired & blessed by reading it !

Love Max Lucado, he never fails to inspire. I would recommend this book, very inspiring as you read the chapters and pray the prayers.

A short but beautiful little book. Great for dipping into. Reflections on God's promises as they relate to various challenges we face in life.
