(This is the second one; the first one I got is no longer available through Amazon, or I'd also give that one a glowing review, too.)Fast forward three years, the green hose in the photos developed a leak. I'd stored it in a container in the shade and I live where the climate is generally mild. I made the assumption that workmen had been using the hose during recent renovations and had forgotten to release the water from the line. Since I'd purchased it 3 years ago, obviously it was no longer within the return window. Because the hose came with a lifetime guarantee, I reached out to GrowGreen directly and within 1 day I was notified that a free replacement hose would arrive in 2 to 5 days!While I was waiting for the new green hose to arrive, I couldn't believe that the black hose in my back patio also developed a leak in the same exact spot, near the spigot (see video). No workmen had been in the back patio, so I had to rethink my assumption.I've now come to the conclusion that even though I release the water each time, the fact that I'd stored the hoses in containers and threaded the hose through a hole near the bottom meant the hose couldn't properly uncoil at that end. See the photos of the old green hose vs new one.Realizing that it was probably not the fault of the actual hose, my advice is do not store any expandable hose threaded through a hole in a container unless you install a quick connector fitting making it much easier to disconnect it from the water source. In the meantime, I'm not threading my hoses through the hole.Please note: The only reason for giving 4 stars on durability is more about the poor design of expandable hoses in general and not this particular product. The more I read about expandable hoses, the more I realize they simply can't last forever. Therefore, I'm super thankful GrowGreen hoses come with a lifetime guarantee despite the flawed nature of their product.Thank you, GrowGreen, for standing behind your product and living up to your lieftime guarantee!

We bought three of the 50-foot hoses in 2021 because the seller guaranteed them for lifetime. We contacted the seller, and they replied by email assuring us the hose is guaranteed for life. So, we (naively) bought three of them. WE linked two of them together to reach the hot tub on the patio and the fountain. They were protected from the elements and used twice to refill the hot tub and three or four times for the fountain, WE started to refill the hot tub this week and one of the hoses blew out in the middle. That is what every one of prior similar hoses did. I am a disabled veteran and mobility is a problem, ergo the quest for easy use tools, otherwise we would never buy any of these miraculous hoses. Do not think these hoses are any different from the rest of the others. THEY ARE NOT! We have had several that lasted a lot longer with the same care. The lifetime guarantee vaporized when greengrow disappeared.'

Use this hose and others like it for the convenience. Just don't expect it to last like a regular hose. Six months to one year is about it. This hose was purchased last November and here we are in July and it has a big hole and spraying water all over the place. It's trash now. I'm waiting for the vendor to say whether there is a one year warranty or not. When it works it works great. Just expect replacement every six months to one year.UPDATE......FOLLOW-UP.....After a few back and forth emails where I needed to submit a screen shot of my Amazon order the vendor has agreed to replace the hose at no charge to me. I thought I was within the one year warranty period but the vendor communicated to me the product has a "LIFETIME WARRANTY." Waiting for my new hose to arrive.UPDATE.....FOLLOW-UP..... My new hose arrived today as promised. Warranty honored. Apparently this hose has a "LIFETIME WARRANTY". The manufacture honored the warranty and replaced the hose at no charge to me. I am revising the rating to 5 stars because of the good customer service. I purchase this sort of hose for the ease of use and know they will not last as long as a standard constructed rigid hose but certainly expected more than one year of use. Knowing now the manufacture honors the lifetime warranty it's a reasonable purchase if willing to deal with the steps needed to get a replacement hose when it fails.

I purchased mine in 2019, it is still leak free. My faucet is inside the garage, so it's never left out in the sun or the weather, and I always totally drain it. It looks like most the 1 and 2 star reviews are in the last couple of years- I never buy anything if those 1 and 2 star reviews make up 10% or more of the total reviews, which they certainly do now.

I bought this a couple years ago and I just came back to re-order it for my other spicket and I just have to say I love this hose no kinks!

Doesn’t hold up. Internals busted and they sent me a new one that did the same thing. They won’t honor the “lifetime warranty”. Claims it’s a one time replacement.

Really great hose,highly recommend

This hose was not used terribly often and was rigorously kept in the garage when it was not in use. The hose started leaking at about the three year mark and is completely kaput now. Doesn't seem like it should already be dead.
